Vanilla the Rabbit is a supporting character in Sonic X.
She is an anthropomorphic rabbit and the mother of Cream the Rabbit. For a time, she was separated from her daughter, but was eventually reunited with her after being sent to Earth. Eventually, Vanilla returned to her world with her friends and family where she continued her usual lifestyle.
She was voiced by Rebecca Honig in the English version of the anime, and by Sayaka Aoki in the Japanese version.
History[]
Vanilla was separated from her daughter Cream and her pet chao Cheese. Vanilla shows up with the Chaotix, a team of detectives consisting of Vector the Crocodile, Charmy Bee, and Espio the Chameleon, when they went looking for Cream and Sonic. Tracking down the speedy hedgehog, they find him and his friends at the mansion of Chris Thorndyke. The staff at the mansion meet Vanilla for the first time, and Cream is happy to see her mom. Cream stays with her mom throughout the new episodes, helping her with meals as she did with Ella and Amy at the mansion.
The first use of Vanilla's name came in the Japanese version of Sonic X, where Episode 40 includes an eyecatch card with her profile, where she is described as extremely polite and strict with her discipline, and that it seems she taught her daughter to use the polite language as well.
Vanilla was one night separated from her daughter, Cream who was kidnapped by Dr. Eggman and transported to earth by Chaos Control. Vanilla was eventually transported to earth by a Chaos Control Event caused by Super Sonic and Super Shadow when they stopped the Space Colony ARK from crashing into the planet. She hires the Chaotix agency to find her daughter and then Sonic too who then she encountered with Dr. Eggman, in the end she happily reunites with Cream with a big hug at the Thorndyke Mansion, when Sonic brings her there. Vanilla later thanks both Vector and Sonic.
