Varesa is a playable character in the 2020 game Genshin Impact. She is a member of the Collective of Plenty and student of Iansan.
She is voiced by Jane Jackson in English, Qiao Su in Chinese, Ichimichi Mao in Japanese, and Kim Ye-rim in Korean.
Apperance[]
Varesa has light skin and pink hair tied in two braids that fade to cyan at the bangs and tips. She has a pair of bull horns with black patterned tips. She also has dark brown cow ears and a pink cow tail. Her eyes are dark purple with a light blue accent, and white pupils.
She wears a pastel yellow cropped sweater with a prominent chest cutout, exposing a black inner crop top adorned with triangular patterns. The outer layer of her sweater is held by her electro vision which can be seen on her back. She wears detached puff sleeves in the same pastel yellow, secured at the wrists by teal and pink ribbons. She pairs this with a black miniskirt, fitted with a pink belt resembling a championship belt. The belt’s main plate is embossed with the golden emblem of the Collective of Plenty, and multicolored tassels hang below it. The skirt is tailored to accommodate her bovine tail.
Her leg wear is asymmetrical, with white leg warmers extending just below the knees, cinched by black strings that end in tassels and white pom-poms. Her right leg is covered by a white thigh-high sock reaching her upper thigh, complemented by a pink kneepad. On her left leg, a teal sock extends just beyond the top of her leg warmer. Both leg warmers are adorned with multicolored embellishments attached.
For footwear, she wears black-and-white chunky shoes with a cushioned structure, resembling foam footwear.
Personality[]
While a powerful and skilled fighter, Varesa is very kind to her friends and other Natlanese. She is especially close to her saurian companion Vanana. When she has free time she enjoys working on her family's orchard.
Varesa has a big appetite that even outmatches Mavuika. She gets hungry a lot and eats large amounts to make herself full.
In her youth, she was timid and afraid, but resolved to become a hero when she grew up.

- Her running and eating are similar to Sonic the Hedgehog and Kirby.
- Varesa's appearance is inspired by two characters portrayed by her Japanese voice actor, M.A.O. that originate from Cygames Gacha titles, who are Narmaya in Granblue Fantasy, borrowing her bovine features and Eustiana von Astraea/Pecorine from Princess Connect: Redive with her large appetite.
