Veldora Tempest is a major character in the fantasy adventurer light novel, manga, and anime series That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. Also known as the Storm Dragon, he is one of the True Dragons, one of the mightiest beings to exist. Neverthless, he is the weakest of his siblings. Following his ultimate defeat against Chloe Aubert after being a great threat over Jura Forest, he was sealed by the hero for 300 in a cave. That is until a slime whom he later befriended freed him by consuming him temporarily, giving each other their last name of Tempest and receive their own first name, to which Veldora named him "Rimuru".
He is voiced by Tomoaki Maeno in Japanese and by Chris Rager in English.
Appearance[]
As a dragon, Veldora's size is massive, featuring a muscular and robust body covered in dark blue and black scales with light blue accents. Although in the past, he was shown to be at least the size of a mountain, in the cave he can be seen to be somewhat smaller than how he used to be prior to being sealed. His dragon wings have a light blue underside, and possesses sharp claws and a long tail.
After obtaining his human form after finally being released from Rimuru, Veldora gain the appearance of a muscular young man with blonde, spiky hair with a shirtless upper torso. His attire consists of dark pants, white boots, and gloves, adorned with a red cape draped over his shoulder. Two linings-shaped lines are featured under both of his eyes.
Personality[]
Despite having a fearsome appearance, Veldora portrayed himself as a friendly but prideful individual. Though he can be seen to be offended by Rimuru's responses, he ends up befriending him since he had enough of being imprisoned in the cave after centuries. Veldora is further shown in his human form to be lively and energetic with pride as a True Dragon. Regardless of being known as a "rampaging idiot," he is generally easygoing and may be threatening if the one he cares are threatened. Though confident and strong, Veldora is insecure and socially awkward, often masking this with bold boasts. He lacks social tact and can unintentionally intimidate others, yet beneath his childish behavior, he is quite knowledgeable and curious, ironically unlike of how the legend describes him as. After meeting Rimuru and spending time reading manga, Veldora began to reflect on his past destructive tendencies and became more patient and analytical. He deeply values his friendship with Rimuru, viewing as a brother figure as well as seeing him as an equal and a source of entertainment and companionship. Veldora's relationship with his sisters is strained due to past torment, leaving him with emotional scars, while he holds great respect for his older brother, Veldanava. Veldora's growth after meeting Rimuru shows a shift toward a more thoughtful personality, although his cool and carefree nature remains.

- He's not that bright for undercover work, as he chosen name is literally Alias. The whole reason he was asked to use a pseudonym was avoid freaking out people with his real identity.
- Veldora learned much from the manga in Rimuru's memory, creating the Veldora Killing Arts from all the martial arts and energy attacks he read about. (Can't call it plagiarizing if it's in another universe)
- This is also how he learned to surpress his aura by reading about ki control from material like the Dragon Ball franchise.
