Veronica (Fire Emblem)

Veronica, also known as the Emblian Princess, the Dark Princess, the Lonely Heir and the Emblem of Heroes, is a major antagonist turned supporting protagonist in the fantasy video game Fire Emblem Heroes. She is the princess and leader of the Emblian Empire who originally desired to destroy Askr by manipulating heroes from other worlds into joining her forces, but eventually breaks free from Embla's control starts working towards achieving peace between the Emblian Empire and the Kingdom of Askr instead.

Veronica had been following in the footsteps of the late Emblian emperor ever since she was a young child, traveling to other worlds and enslaving the heroes who resided within them for the sake of expanding the Emblian Empire. Embla supported Veronica's movement and thus, Veronica and the Emblian Empire's war against the Askr empire was ignited.

Book I[]

Princess Veronica of the Emblian Empire first began her domination of Askr when she visited the World of Zenith in the Prologue Chapter by commanding her men to destroy everything in their paths and kill anyone who opposed them in the empire's quest to enslave Zenith's own Minerva. After Minerva's defeat and freedom from Veronica's contract, the princess retreated back to her own empire to drown her sorrows in a warm cup of tea. She then travels to the World of Mystery where she captured many heroes to make into her slaves, but most notably, that world's own Marth. Following Marth's defeat, he was freed from Veronica's influence, much to the princess' dismay as she moved on to the World of Conquest to dominate the realm and enslave the Nohrian Family including Xander. However, Xander follows Veronica even after his family's defeat out of sympathy for Veronica's own isolation and insecurities.
