Vice is a demon bonded with Ikki Igarashi and one of the two main protagonists of Kamen Rider Revice. Through Ikki using the Revice Driver, Vice can become Kamen Rider Vice in conjunction with Ikki becoming Kamen Rider Revi, with the two being known as Kamen Rider Revice.
Though Ikki's ally in fighting the Deadmans, Vice does not share his heroic intentions and simply seeks to satiate his appetite. When let loose, Vice will attack other humans and try to eat them if Ikki does not reign him in.
He was voiced by Subaru Kimura, best known for voicing Takeshi Gouda in the Doraemon franchise. His suit actor is Eitoku.
Biography[]
Vice manifested within Ikki Igarashi when he was a child and his father was possessed by Vail into burning down the family bathhouse. Vice offered to protect Ikki's family, and in exchange he would erase Ikki's memories of him, a deal which the young Ikki accepted. With Vice's strength, Ikki was able to defeat Vail and free his father.
Ikki immediately forgot about Vice however and grew up not knowing about him. After Ikki became an adult however, Vice began appearing before him again. Because only Ikki could see him, Vice would often whisper temptations into Ikki's ear, making it hard for him to do his job. After his brother Daiji Igarashi was promoted to Captain at Fenix, Ikki and the rest of his family went to attend the promotion ceremony, only for it to be crashed by the demon-worshipping Deadmans. In wake of the attack, Daiji tried to use the Revice Driver to transform, but his own insecurities kept him from using it. As the Deadman monsters terrorized people, Vice told Ikki he could fend them off if he made a contract with him, to which Ikki agreed and set Vice free. However, Vice's appetite quickly led him to turn his attention to Ikki's mom Yukimi and attack her instead, trying to eat her. George Karizaki then offered the Revice Driver to Ikki, telling him he could use it to control Vice, and Ikki used it to transform into Kamen Rider Revi, while Vice became Kamen Rider Vice. Together, the two Kamen Riders fended off the inner demons the Deadmans had released and destroyed them. Afterwards, George christened Ikki and Vice "Kamen Rider Revi" and "Kamen Rider Vice" respectively. Vice, who had up until that point not had a name, happily took "Vice" to be his name. Ikki however refused the Driver, citing the fact that he needed to work as his family bathhouse as reason why he couldn't use it.
While Ikki went to visit his mom in the hospital, Vice kept trying to annoy him, leading Ikki to lash out at him in front of his family. When Ikki was approached by Daiji, asking him to sign a contract to become Revice for Fenix again, Vice attempted to persuade Ikki to sign the contract but Ikki refused, fearing what would happen if Vice was let out again. However, after hearing that another Deadmans attack was happening, Ikki reluctantly agreed and got on his bike to go fight the new Deadman. Vice then took control of the bike to speed Ikki to the Deadmans location super fast. After arriving, Ikki used the Revice Driver to transform himself and Vice into Kamen Rider Revice. The two initially fought the Kamakiri Deadman until Vice noticed the hot-headed professional golfer Araki and lunged at him, proclaiming he looked delicious. However, Vice secretly did not intend to eat Araki but to tell him where the Deadmans Base was, so he would go and create another demon. After Vice passed this information on, Revi used the W Vistamp to transform himself and Vice using the Eagle Genome, reigning Vice in again. Together, the two destroyed the Kamakiri Deadman before returning to the bathhouse.
It was then that Vice told Ikki what he had told Araki, leading a furious Ikki to transform into Revi and tussle with Vice in the bathhouse. Their fight was soon interrupted however by Daiji, who told Ikki that another Deadman was attacking. Ikki and Vice arrived as Fenix was battling it but, rather than become Revice, Ikki instead charged into the horde of Giff Juniors surrounding it hoping they would kill him so he could drag Vice down with him with his death. As Ikki was being beat down, Vice attempted convince Ikki he would stop attacking humans and only fight Deadmans. Ikki at first didn't believe Vice but Vice told him demons never lie, leading Ikki to reluctantly accept Vice's deal and transform them both into Revi and Vice to battle the Megalodon Deadman. Together, the two were able to destroy it.
The disappearance of Vice[]
After Ikki forgets the people he protects, the pitiful Vice then discusses with Genta, Yukimi, George, and Hiromi to make it seem like Vice is evil. The plan begins when Genta and Vice fight, then Vice pretends to go berserk and forces Ikki to defeat him. When Vice is dying, Ikki regains all his memories, but Ikki forgets Vice.
Personality[]
Vice is a very loudmouthed and rambunctious demon. He takes delight in playing pranks on Ikki and annoying him, as Ikki is the only one who can see him when he's not in his Kamen Rider form. Vice is shown to also be a fairly competent speaker, able to convince Ikki to release him twice using the threat of the Deadmans. At the same time though, Vice can easily let his appetite get the better of him, occasionally attempting to eat humans when Ikki is distracted or unable to reign him in. Though he assists Ikki in fighting the Deadmans, Vice makes little distinction between humans and other demons, and will attack either based purely on a whim. While impulsive, Vice is not unintelligent and is shown to be skilled at grasping people's personalities and using it to play them, such as when he told Araki of the Deadmans Base so he would go there and create another Deadman for him to fight.
Trivia[]
