Whatever life holds in store for me, I will never forget these words: "With great power comes great responsibility."

Biography[]
Victor Creel, who was born in or around 1919, fought in World War 2. Inadvertently ordering the shelling of an innocent family while serving in France, Victor has been plagued by remorse ever since.
Victor married Virginia after the war, and they had a child together being a daughter named Alice. They then had a son named Henry later on. Alice was a typical, uncomplicated youngster, while Henry was much more troubled and had problems relating to other people.
The Creel family moved into a home in Hawkins, Indiana sometime in March 1959 when Virginia's great uncle passed away and left them a "little fortune." After only one month of tranquility, they started to discover a variety of creatures being killed and dismembered in their yard and around their neighborhood, although their demises were misattributed to wildcat assaults (rabbits, squirrels, chickens, dogs, etc.). Victor was dubious about this explanation and anxious for his family's safety, and he thought the attacks were the work of a "spawn of Satan. A demon." He later referred to these unsettling "encounters" that Virginia and Alice were having as "waking, living horrors." These "encounters" soon started happening to Victor as well, and they were hallucinations of his troubled background in France.
Personality[]
He appeared content and happy when he and his family first arrived in Hawkins in 1959, despite having had a traumatic occurrence while serving as a soldier in World War 2. After a month of calm in Hawkins, Victor's situation altered. He developed paranoia and anxiety for his family when several animals were discovered maimed in his yard. As he, his wife, and daughter began to have terrible hallucinations, his concerns grew. Creel never realized that his small son Henry was the one behind these horrific images since he thought a demonic force was behind them. He entered a plea of insanity after being arrested for a crime he did not commit. He attempted to murder himself by gouging out his own eyes at some time when he was in prison in an effort to pass away with his family, but he was unsuccessful. Over time, Victor developed a reluctance to speak with reporters about what had happened to him because he believed they would either think he was nuts or that his terrible background was too upsetting to discuss. He did, however, consent to speak with Nancy and Robin about his experiences after they acknowledged that they shared his belief that his family's murderer had returned.
