Vincent is a protagonist from the made-for-TV Pokémon movie The Legend of Thunder!, and also a supporting character and opponent of Ash during the Pokémon League in Pokémon The Series: Master Quest.
Biography[]
Vincent is first seen in a brief flashback where he received his Pokémon from Professor Elm alongside Jimmy. He makes his first proper appearance when Jimmy crosses paths with Marina, who was on the phone with Vincent. Vincent has a strong crush on Marina and often sends her gifts and messages.
Vincent's Meganium is a key member of his team and plays a significant role in his battles. During the events of the story, Vincent showcases his skill as a Pokémon Trainer, using Meganium's powerful moves to battle against various opponents. He and his Meganium are known for their strong bond and effective teamwork.
When smoke and lightning start to emerge, Vincent, along with Jimmy and Marina, heads towards the source of the disturbance. They discover Attila and Hun of Team Rocket capturing electric Pokémon in the forest to draw out Raikou. Vincent's determination to stop Team Rocket is evident as he assists in the efforts to free the captured Pokémon.
During the confrontation, Jimmy and Typhlosion's attempt to stop Team Rocket fails, prompting Marina to send her Misdreavus to deal with the duo's Pokémon through Perish Song. Vincent's Meganium plays a crucial role in supporting the team and battling against Team Rocket's forces.
Pokémon the Series[]
Vincent continued to have a number of encounters with Ash during their journeys through Johto. He managed to win entry into the Silver Conference and made it past the preliminaries. Vincent was then matched up against Ash for the first round and told him that he was going to sweep him out of the tournament, bringing up the time when they trained together back in New Bark Town. The next day, Vincent watched as Ash’s Bulbasaur and Squirtle arrived to help him with the upcoming match, although they were fighting with Vincent's Azumarill and Meganium Vincent and Ash stared each other down before Professor Elm and Delia Ketchum arrived as well, with Elm giving them new data for their Pokédexes.
The following day, Vincent had his match with Ash and he remained on top for most of the match until it was just Ash’s Pikachu against two of Vincent’s Pokémon. However, Pikachu managed to defeat Vincent’s Azumarill, then Ash's Pikachu and Cyndaquil lost to Vincent's Shiny Magneton. After Bulbasaur was Ash's only Pokémon left in the match, Vincent's Magneton was defeated, leaving him only with Meganium. As both Bulbasaur and Meganium countered fiercely, after launching their final and most powerful Solar Beam attacks, it was a draw between both Ash and Vincent, which made Ash the victor as the semi finals had unusual rules to defeat 2 assigned trainers in order to proceed to the Victory finals, in a group of 3 trainers. Vincent congratulated Ash after he was the only one of three to defeat two trainers.
