Virion Eralith supporting character in the manwha and light novel series, The Beginning After the End. Formerly a king of Eleanor who led the Second War against the Humans from the Kingdom of Sapin. He is a mentor to Arthur Leywin in the series and guide him in his will to control his mana.
Appearance[]
He is described as an old man past by his prime by Arthur expressing his facial features and a scary gaze that could kill someone under his wrath. His hair is pure white and grows unruly in the later chapters compared to the first appearance.
Personality[]
Contrast to his stoic demeanor, he is very carefree, laidback and a brass elder, but his mood changes when the situation calls it whilst he spends his time on whatever he does without a care from the public opinion yet he is open minded than his peers that holds no prejudice towards the human race after the Second War of Dicathen and chose to ally them as he took Arthur as his disciple. He may show antagonistic towards those who deserve it, he also shows a side of kindness to people who are help in need.
Biography[]
At the time he reigned as a king, Virion is considered to be the strongest among the elves in the Kingdom of Eleanor, which he reached the silver stage of his mana core that integrates his beast core, the Shadow Panther. Many women were founded over him, his heart was only stolen to one woman in his life, his future wife, Lana Darcassian. Before or After the wedding or the second war, they give birth to a son named Aldulin Eralith.
During the Second War, Virion lead his people through the Second War against the Kingdom of Sapin, during the war, he encountered Cynthia Goodsky, who he fought against several times in the battlefield. Despite being enemies at each other, they both became friends during ceasefire as Virion and Goodsky discussed their future plans once the war ends which Virion suggested to her that she should enroll to become a teacher, as he believed that she will be a great mentor to the future generations of Dicathen.
By the end of The Second War, 2 Kingdoms, Eleanor and Sapin begans to have peace talks for a treaty for the benefit of their nations. Unknowingly, Virion's wife, Lana has received prenomitions of the Sapin's king, Blaine Player's father that he is going to assassinate Virion. Despite the consequences, the power has taken a toll on Lana on using her power to thwart the assassination till Blain Glayder has staged a coup against his own Father ending the war. Following the aftermath of The Second war, Virion decided to step down from his position as a king passing to his biological son as he later became a grandfather, when Tessa Eralith was born.
Relationships[]
Arthur Leywin[]
Given that Arthur is the first disciple he ever trained despite being a mere human, which later Virion took an interest on him with his abilities and the beast will manifesting inside him despite the objections his son, Aldulin, having no prejudice towards a mere human. The two have similar terms of personality, being wise and maniacs in battle which both became close as Arthur consider him as gramps rather a teacher despite he calls Arthur as a cheeky brat for his arrogance as both of them have respect for each other.
Tessia Eralith[]
As a granddaughter to Virion, he is very affectionate towards her as he refers her as "little one" while teasing her interest on Arthur which in return have become close due to her having no friends before getting Arthur yet he gets yelled at by her whenever he embarasses her.
Cynthia Goodsky[]
His relationship with Cynthia has started a long time ago, knowing each other through the Second Warm while being on the opposite sides as both have nothing but mutual respect for each other which Virion had suggested her to become a teacher leading the next generation. Despite Cynthia asking Virion to come with her as this is heavily implied as a joke and subtly saying that Cynthia has been interested in Virion. Despite the youth between the two, Virion has made it clear to himself and others that he will only be loyal and devoted to his wife.
Adulin Eralith[]
As the only son and successor after him in the Kingdom of Eleanor. Both of them have different personalities that would often class each others opinions as they both respected each other. Aldulin is more towards traditional and stoic, Virion on the other hand is carefree and laidback, but their differences are the views they felt towards the human. Unlike his father, Aldulin would never forgive the humans for causing the death of his mother, even after Arthur rescued his granddaughter, which he later accepted Virion's views later on the series.
Powers and Abilities[]
Leadership: He stems to take leadership during his reign and retired after The Second War and carefree whenever he wishes that is until the war against Dicathen. He later became the Commander of the Dicathen Army leading a scale invasion against an army of Alacryan and other terrorists,
Genius Level Intelligence: He is well adapt to understand his surroundings especially adopting in strategy and tactics. This is well underhand during and after the second war , in which he later used it again as the commander helping understand enemies tactics and to find a way to win through the turning point of the war.
Beast Will (integrating Physiology): As a beast tamer, his beast will is the Shadow Panther, which can instinctively manipulate movement and sound to eraser their prescence from enemies radar detection. There are 2 phases:
- Acquired Phase: In the first phase of the Shadow Beast will, he gains the ability to peak human speed and reflexes.
- Integrate Phase: Through the second phase, he takes the appearance of a black panther, giving him the superhuman condition capabilities-strength, Agility, stealth and stamina- helping him form the ability to control sound and movements in order to sneak attacks on without being detected from the enemies.
