Voll is a supporting character in the adventurer manga and anime series Frieren: Beyond Journey's End. He is a full-fledged dwarf warrior who works as a protector of a village in the region of Klar. Accordingly, he does so because it is the village that his now-deceased-wife loved. He is also a great friend of the elven mage Frieren.
He is voiced by Mitsuaki Hoshino in Japanese and by Mac McGee in English.
Appearance[]
Voll, as a dwarf, is a short elderly individual with his eyes usually closed and wrinkles all over. Like most of his species, he lets a lengthy beard and mustache covering grow, covering his mouth. In attire, he wears a typical silver knight helmet, a red cape surrounding with a golden button attached his shoulders and neck.
Personality[]
Voll is a peaceful and dedicated elderly man who shows little to no sign of emotions, likely due to his extensive age. He stated he maintains the dedication to guard the village he has is because he made a promise with his wife, whom he loved dearly despite being unable to see her clearly because of his poor sight. He also has a habit of testing warriors like Stark by abruptly tripping them with his sword to see if they were paying attention to their surroundings.
