Stop hand

Suffering stacks!
~ Warrior's catchphrase.
Warrior might have bumped into things, but I couldn't have done without him. He was a valuable member of my Star Tug team - a striker, you might call him!
~ Captain Star

Warrior is a character from the television series TUGS. He is the fifth member of the Star Tug and Marine company of Bigg City Port, which are based off the San Francisco tug fleets of the 1920s. He is considered by fleet owner Captain Star to be a valuable member of his team, for Warrior has shown, in spite of his clumsiness, acts of courage, heroism, cleverness, and bravery.

Background[]

Warrior is one of the Star Fleet’s harbour tugs, along with Big Mac and O.J., and as such is one of the strongest tugs in the fleet. He mainly does garbage detail with his favourite barge Lord Stinker, though Warrior has been involved in other duties such as bringing in ocean liners and delivering rocks and steel.

Personality[]

Warrior is known to be a clumsy and simple-minded tug, often bumping into things, as showcased in his namesake episode. But he is also loyal, kind hearted, courageous, brave, and has shown some heroic and clever streaks, thus making him a tug with redeemable qualities.

Appearance[]

Warrior is painted in the Star Fleet’s corporate livery. His superstructure is yellow, his hull is black with his name painted in white on both sides of his bow, his mast is white, his funnel is red, white, and blue with the number 5 on it, and he wears a blue cap. His front bumper is bushy, has a mounted red fire hose, and has black hair sticking out from beneath his cap.

Acts of heroism[]

  • Saving the Mexican tramp steamer Izzy Gomez from sinking after the latter runs onto some new dock foundations.
  • Helping Sunshine and the Fire Tug put out a dramatic munitions fire spreading throughout the dockside, of which was the responsibility of the officious and insufferable naval tug Bluenose.
  • Preventing a mass of runaway logs from destroying Up Town.
  • Setting fire to his garbage barge to make a light for the arriving ocean liner S.S. Vienna due to Lille Lightship’s lack of fuel to shine her light and Ten Cents and Sunshine being heavily delayed with the emergency light barge.
