Heroine Overview

Wasp is one of the protagonists of the animated TV Series, The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. She is one of the many New York heroes and also a founding member of the Avengers.

She is voiced by Colleen O'Shaughnessey, who also voices Sora Takenouchi from the Saban English dub of Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 02, Jazz Fenton from Danny Phantom, Tails from Sonic Boom along with 2 Sonic movies and Ino Yamanaka from Naruto.

Personality[]

Janet is easily the most laid back of the Avengers, which doesn't stop her from facing any form of threat, whether serious or not. She is especially the Avengers who has the greatest sense of humor.

History[]

Janet van Dyne's is Hank Pym's girlfriend and financial benefactor. She also has powers, and unlike Hank, believes that she and Hank can both make a difference as superheroes, which prompts her to take up arms and join the fight when super-villains come calling.

Powers & Abilities[]

  • Shrink: Like her compatriot Ant-Man, Wasp can grow to microscopic sizes.
  • Generate Wings: When she shrunk, Wasp gains wings that allow her to fly and move very quickly.
  • Bioelectricity: Wasp generically uses bioelectricity-based attacks both as an energy shot or to increase the attack power of her fists.
  • Increase size: Although only having used this power once in the series, Wasp can grow to be gigantic, also gaining greater strength and durability.
  • Melee combat: Wasp was able to knock out a Skrull with a single punch.

Trivia[]

  • Until Carol Danvers was recruited, Wasp was the only female in the Avengers.
  • She proved to be a valuable asset against Ultron as he lost the upper hand over the Avengers as he did not know the ability to increase Wasp's size.
  • Unlike her comic book counterpart, this version of Wasp is a teenager and is depicted as the girlfriend of Hank Pym instead of being his wife.
