Wataru Ikusabe is the main protagonist of the Mashin Hero Wataru series. He used to be a normal elementary student until he was mystically transported to a magical realm by a yellow dragon and was foretold to be that world's legendary savior who would liberate Mount Soukai from the forces of evil.
He was voiced by Mayumi Tanaka.

Wataru is a 9-year-old elementary kid with a shaggy black hair. He also dons his traditional white uniform with gold and red linings.

Wataru is a very altruistic person who genuinely loves all the people who he befriends. Likewise, he is an academically average kid whose talents lie in sports
