~ Weasel |
Weasel is a supporting protagonist in the film Deadpool and it's sequel Deadpool 2. He is a bartender at Sister Margaret's School for Wayward Children, and friend of Deadpool.
He is portrayed by T.J. Miller, who also played Fred in Big Hero 6, Tuffnut Thorston in the How to Train Your Dragon movies, Gene in The Emoji Movie, and Lucas Flannery in Transformers: Age of Extinction.
History[]
Deadpool[]
At some point, Weasel befriended Wade Wilson before putting him in a series of organized bar fights known as the "Deadpool". After Wade was diagnosed with cancer, Weasel comforted his friend by joking about his inevitable death. In a moment of desperation, Wade underwent an enhancement procedure, gaining a healing factor but getting disfigured in the process. Wade then explained to Weasel about his experience in the program and his desire to seek revenge against Ajax, who had been directly responsible for disfiguring him.
Having an idea, Weasel convinced Wade to become the superhero Deadpool, the name inspired by the bar's matches. Later, Ajax and Angel Dust arrived at the bar in search of Wade, briefly threatening Weasel before discovering and targeting the mercenary's lover, Vanessa Carlysle. After learning of this, Wade took Weasel with him to find Vanessa, only for Ajax to kidnap her. Determined to save his love, Wade armed himself for the impending confrontation, to which Weasel wanted no part of.
Deadpool 2[]
Two years after the first film, after Vanessa Carlysle was killed, Weasel tried to comfort Wade who had spent three days drinking at his bar. Weasel also hired Dopinder to help in the bar, and train him as a contract killer although much of his duties involved cleaning.
Weasel helped Deadpool to assemble X-Force, holding auditions with him to screen potential team members. Cable later captured Weasel to find out about Deadpool's plan to rescue Russell Collins. Cable was prepared to torture Weasel, but Weasel just gave up the information since he did not want to get hurt.
Later Weasel go to Blind Al's house where Wade is regenerating his inferior body part after he was broken in two by Juggernaut, Wade for now have baby legs during the inferior body parts regenerations with Weasel, Dopinder, Blind Al (who accidentally touch his penis in regeneration) and Domino's shock, then Cable arrive without they even accorders, when they find out who Cable is the three every one point the pistols against him especially Weasel, Cable, despite was comically disgusted by Wade's baby legs, offered to Wade his alliance to defeat Juggernaut and stopping Russell from his first killing who would turned him into a killer who in the future would killed Cable's family, so Wade and Cable ally but at the condition who Cable will let Wade convince Russell to not becoming evil and them two, Domino and Dopinder goes to stop Firefist and to defeat Juggernaut.
Weasel opted out of the battle again and probably he is back to the bar after being leaved in Blind Al's house.
Trivia[]
- In the comics, Weasel regards himself as Deadpool's best friend, although Deadpool always abuse or mistreat him.
- In the comics, Weasel is Deadpool's sidekick, information broker, and arms dealer.
- Despite Weasel being one of the best friends of Deadpool, he wasn't involved in the threequel; a factor may be his actor T.J. Miller having troubling allegations from his college days come out, some public intoxication issues, and him swearing off making anymore movies with Ryan Reynolds after falling out with the latter.
- Some people have hilariously theorized that Weasel's absence stems from the TVA prunning him over his actor's real life behavior.
