Wednesday Friday Addams is the titular main protagonist of Tim Burton's Netflix series of the same name.
She is portrayed by Jenna Ortega, who also plays as her ancestor Goody Addams, Tara Carpenter in the Scream franchise, Princess Isabel in Elena of Avalor, Phoebe Atwell in The Babysitter: The Killer Queen, Harley Diaz in Stuck in the Middle, Astrid Deetz in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and Ridley Kintner in Death of a Unicorn and her younger self is portrayed by Karina Varadi.
Personality[]
Wednesday is fascinated with dark and macabre subjects. She is intelligent and interested in mysteries, being very skilled at solving them.
She is very vengeful, nearly cynical and chaotic as she seeks revenge on Dalton and his friends for torturing her younger brother which results her violent generosity. After arriving at Nevermore Academy, Wednesday is quite an unsociable person, despite Enid Sinclair and Larissa Weems welcoming her. She is never afraid of speaking her mind and can be quite intimidating, blunt and rude to others. However, she also has a compassionate side that she only shows to those she cares about.
Starting from the end of the first season, Wednesday starts to become more friendly. She also shows a great sense of justice when protecting her school. As a result, Wednesday and her friends help each other save Nevermore from Laurel Gates, Joseph Crackstone and the Hyde.
Biography[]
Season 1[]
She was originally sent to the same High school with her brother and became very brooding towards other including her parents who were able to tolerate with her. Upon noticing her brother being bullied, she asked him for names, which then she ended up getting expelled for dropping a bag full of piranhas towards the Jocks during their swimming practices and having them eaten alive, though they survived. She was sent to Nevermore academy A environment full of misfits with supernatural and terrifying abilities, being greeted with Enid who show. She then begins to investigate the string of murders by a monster, she was aided by her Uncle and Thing who snuck inside of her backpack to help investigate the species stalking the woods, Upon getting a vision that Tyler and the abomination being one and the same she then sets up a meeting with Laurel Gates of whom she tricked into confessing infront of the headmaster Larissa Weems (who was disguised as Tyler) however she was then be knocked out by Laurel after Mr's Weem's death, Wednesday was taken into a cellar to begin summoning her great ansestor Joseph Crackstone and dragging her hand to spill her blood on the stone symbol, during the ritual Adam manages to free herself from her chains using a metal filer but attempted to Confront Joseph from doing any hard but was then stabbed in the abdomen by the latter before leaving her in the crypts while slowly succumbing to blood loss. during the period of Nevermore academy being in chaos, which she communicated with her ancestor Goody Adams who manages to help come back to her senses and give her the strength to save Nevermore. Upon waking up she fetched a sword and begun to confront Joseph, upon which was interviewed by Xavier who attempted to use his archery skills on Joseph as Wednesday instinctively took the blow of the arrow when Joseph redirected it and attampted to kill Xavier and tells him to evacuate the others. She then picks up her sword and begins to swordfight with the destructive Pilgrim, being almost overwhelmed if not for Brianca managing to stab Joseph in the back and giving Wednesday the time to lay the final blow from her broken sword and vanquishing the Ancient Pilgrim once and for all, however she was later confronted by Laurel Gates with a pistol with the eager to shoot her but she was saved by Eugene who attacks her with insects, leading to Wednesday to throw her heel and defeat Laurel for good.

Physical Appearance[]
Wednesday Addams is a young 16 year old teenager who is 5ft and 1in tall with bangs, long black pigtail braids. She normally wears a long-sleeved black dress that has small white dots all over it.
In the Nevermore Academy, she wears a school uniform that has black stripes with Nevermore Academy's badge on the left side of her chest. Behind her uniform is a long neck tie that's on top of a white shirt. The bottom part of her clothing is a black striped dress under a long pair of black tights.
Wednesday also shares a similar appearance to her ancestor Goody Addams.

- Psychic Vision: Whenever Wednesday touches someone, she has the power to see what happened to that person, what will potentially happen to them or what that person did.
- Hammerspace: In the pilot episode, after the scene where she plays her cello, Enid wonders how she managed to bring such a large intrument into the dorm in her luggage. In the second season episode "Here We Woe Again", she seems able to conceal far more in her pockets than would be physically possible, carrying an assortment of weapons including brass knuckles, a taser, pepper spray, two nunchucks, a katana, a double ball mace, several knives, a broadsword, a scimitar, and a battle axe.
Abilities[]
- Genius Level Intellect/Master Strategist/Expert Detective/Master Social Unit: Wednesday is a gifted writer and is incredibly well-read, studying the works of Edgar Allen Poe, Machiavelli, and Sartre. She also has high knowledge of how to pick locks and constructing traps. She is gifted learner in things like martial arts, multilingualism (able to speak English, Spanish, and German fluently, and at least read Italian and Latin), playing instruments, and archery. It is stated that she built a steam-powered guillotine when she was only ten and was able to fix a coffee machine easily. Wednesday has also proven herself a skilled detective when necessary, and was capable of masterfully manipulating others over the course of her investigation.
- Escape Artistry: Wednesday can manipulate her hands to escape being tied by rope without any issue, which was confirmed by herself to be tight enough to cut off blood circulation.
- Expert Martial Artist: Taught by her uncle Fester, Wednesday is a very capable fighter in hand-to-hand combat.
- Expert Archer: Just like her fencing skills, she doesn't do much of archery, but she is a fast learner as she shoots the bullseye when Ajax gave her permission to use his bow and arrow for the first time.
- Expert Swordswoman: Although she doesn't fence much during the series, she's shown to be quickly and highly advanced in fencing as when she beats up Bianca Barclay, the school's fierce fencer during her very first match. During the final battle between her and Joseph Crackstone, she fought him with a big silver sword and showed great sword fighting skills as she and Bianca ended up stabbing him.
Weaknesses[]
- Color Allergy: Wearing any color other than black or white causes her to break out in painful, itchy hives. Seeing as Morticia has an epidermal cream handy that relieves the symptoms, this may be hereditary.

- According to indianexpress.com, Wednesday's dance has become one of the world's biggest viral sensations.
- The dance also became an internet meme, followed by Deadpool's dance in Deadpool & Wolverine and Ivo and Gerald Robotnik's dance in Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
- Despite her first name being Wednesday, she was born on Friday the 13th, similar to Jason Voorhees.
- Wednesday went to eight schools in five years.
- Wednesday said that she hibernated with bears.
