Weiss Schnee is one of the main protagonists of the RWBY franchise. She is one of the main protagonists of the American animated webseries RWBY, its Japanese manga prequel/adaptation, comic book series by DC Comics, and video game spinoffs RWBY: Grimm Eclipse and RWBY: Arrowfell. She is a Huntress, member of Team RWBY, and the former heiress to the Schnee Dust Company.
She is voiced by Kara Eberle. Her singing voice is provided by Casey Lee Williams.
Appearance
Weiss is a pale-skinned girl with light blue eyes and white hair, which she often pulls back in braids or ponytails. She has a long vertical scar across her left eye. She commonly wears ornate tiaras and regal dresses, usually consisting of whites, blues, silvers, and reds. She typically wears high-heeled shoes or boots, and occasionally wears a red scarf. She stands over four feet tall, raised to slightly above five when in her high-heeled shoes.

Weiss appeared as a character in the defunct mobile video game RWBY: Amity Arena.
In the game's primary multiplayer mode, Weiss appeared as several units. The Ice Weiss unit was a ground-based melee unit with a special ability that allowed her to freeze enemies in a certain radius. The Summoner Weiss unit was a ranged unit that shot projectiles that slowed foes, and as a special ability could summon the Arma Gigas avatar as a tanky melee unit with large attack radius. The Ice Flower unit had Weiss combine with Ruby to fire long-range shots, with the special ability freezing enemies upon hit. Freezerburn combines Weiss with Yang, creating a mass of freezing mist that blinds foes. The Checkmate unit teams Weiss with Blake, using Glyphs to attack and make friendly units temporarily invulnerable.

Weiss appears as one of the main protagonists of the DC Comics crossover with the Justice League. While on break from Beacon, Weiss travels back home, where her father is hosting a party. There she meets Bruce Wayne, heir to the Wayne family fortune who her father likely wants to set her up with. She and Bruce initially squabble, but learn to appreciate each other. When a robbery occurs at the party, Bruce is blamed and outed as a bat Faunus. Weiss helps him find the real culprit, a man named Mr. Lloyd, who had stolen Dust from another party-goer. Having cause for concern about Lloyd's activities, Weiss travles with Bruce back to Beacon to report to Professor Ozpin. There, she meets with her teammates and their new allies, all of which having made disturbing discoveries: Ruby, Yang, and Clark Kent encountered multi-colored Grimm that could hypnotize people, and Blake and her friend Diana Prince have found that animals are being mind controlled as well. They determine that people are going missing from around water, including Team JNPR. Weiss travels with Diana to a Schnee Dust Company headquarters to find who in Remnant is stockpiling Dust and ammunition. There they meet Victor Stone, an astronaut that crash-landed after a failed mission into space. SDC investors attempted to have him assassinated to cover up their involvement in the accident, leading to him running and trying to rebuild himself with Schnee technology. Weiss offers a Glyph to help power him, and then they go to regroup. They find their allies, now having teamed up with Barry Allen and Arthur Curry, learning that people with powerful Semblances have been going missing, including Team JNPR. Suddenly, they are attacked by a horde of hypnotized people, animals, and Grimm, including JNPR. They are saved by Jessica Cruz, who explains that she is from a different universe and has tracked an alien conqueror called Starro to Remnant. However, in the journey, time and space were distorted and Starro arrived sixteen years before she did, spreading his influence and taking over the minds of the people, animals, and Grimm of Remnant. After regrouping at Arthur's underwater kingdom, the group comes up with a plan to defeat Starro. Diana lures it out as Weiss helps to take down Starro's slaves. Starro takes control of Jessica, and has her use her powers to show everyone their worst fears and memories; in Weiss's case, her father. Clark, with Bruce's help, manages to carry an entire warehouse of Dust to Starro, throwing it at him and creating an explosion that severely weakens the alien. Weiss helps power Victor as he and Jessica defeat Starro and seal him away in a prison in space. Weiss celebrates with her team and newfound friends, even earning kisses from Bruce and Victor.

Weiss initially begins as stuck-up, entitled, and believing herself superior to everyone else. Because of her troubled past, she rebels and acts out, but still sees her social status as a means of power and stature. However, as the series progresses, she softens towards her allies and friends, soon becoming compassionate and thoughtful, though retaining her wit and sarcasm. Among allies, she is hopeful and resolved, and looks to hep and aid in any way she can. Despite believing she was proud of her stature and family name before, she came to realize that she was not, and instead turned to taking pride in the protection and befriending of others, becoming one of her allies' more courteous and loving friends, often serving as a voice of reason and confidant.
Powers and Abilities
Having trained from an early age, Weiss excels at both swordsmanship and long-distance combat. She uses her rapier for quick piercing attacks, and can utilize its Dust capabilities to fight with almost any element she chooses, including Fire, Lightning, Gravity, Water, and Rock. However, her go-to element is Ice, frequently using it for freezing attacks or to create defensive barriers. She is also a master acrobat and capable of advanced maneuverability, incorporating flips, spins, and long jumps into combat. She uses these movements with great speed, agility, and efficiency.
Weiss possesses a Semblance, a power unique to her drawn from her soul. Her Semblance, Glyphs, is hereditary and passed down through her family line. With this power, Weiss can summon a seemingly unlimited amount of two-dimensional glyphs that have a wide range of abilities, from serving as simple platforms to propelling objects or altering their target's gravity. She can incorporate Dust into her Glyphs, creating elemental explosions or formations, and can even alter a subject's perception of time to slow or accelerate. She can additionally use Glyhps for summoning, where she call upon an avatar of foes she has personally defeated in the past, usually Grimm, to fight on her side. Though she initially struggled with Summoning, she soon came to master the form.
Like all creatures with a soul, Weiss also has possesses an Aura, a physical defense generated by her soul. This durable field is invisible except when it is overtaxed, where it flashes light blue. Her Aura defends her from attack and can even heal minor wounds, but if it takes too much damage it will become depleted and require time to return.
Despite her heritage and family name oftentimes being considered a burden to her, Weiss' social status has proven useful in accessing information or earning trust from authority. Her family's wealth also allows her to provide for her allies.
