|~ Wendy discussing Dipper's name|
Wendy Blerble Corduroy is a major character of the show Gravity Falls. She is a tall high school girl who has a part-time job at Stan Pines' Mystery Shack.
She is voiced by Linda Cardellini.
Wendy is a tall high school girl with a part-time job at Stan Pines's Mystery Shack. Dipper Pines developed a crush on Wendy just shortly after meeting her. Wendy had appeared to either unaware of Dipper's feeling or aware of the situation and trying to avoid dashing his feelings at first. In later episodes though it is revealed that she was in-fact fully aware of Dipper's crush on her and intentionally avoiding acknowledgment of it to spare his feelings. Wendy mostly acts as support for the main cast and only occasionally participates in the various supernatural activities that Dipper and Mabel uncover, but when she does, her primary goals is often to keep the twins safe.
Wendy is a down-to-earth and passively snarky girl. She is introduced as Robbie's girlfriend and starts off as a crush for Dipper, which turned Robbie into not just a bully, but a love-rival. For the bulk of the series, Wendy appears oblivious of the crush. However, as addressed in the episode Into The Bunker, it turned out Wendy was fully aware of Dipper's crush and was trying to avoid it with the belief it was puppy love he would eventually grow out of. Therefore, she had ignored Dipper to avoid the awkwardness of having to turn him down. She only works for Stan for money, but helps Dipper and Mabel out of shear altruism.
- Her English voice actress, Linda Cardellini, played Velma Dinkley in the live-action Scooby-Doo 2002 movies, and also voiced CJ in Regular Show.
- Wendy is based on Alex Hirsh's first crush.
