~ Weyoun on being with Odo. |
Weyoun 6 was a hero introduced in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode Treachery, Faith and the Great River.
Like the other versions of Weyoun, he was portrayed by Jeffrey Combs.
Weyoun 6 was the sixth clone of Weyoun. He was activated after Weyoun 5 died in a transporter "accident." From the beginning he felt that the war was a terrible mistake, and felt even more certain after he became aware that the Founders were dying of a disease.
After the Female Changeling realized that Weyoun 6 was defective, she ordered a new clone created, and for Weyoun 6 to be eliminated. Weyoun 6 decided to leave and seek out Odo in order to defect. Using one of Odo's contacts Weyoun was able arrange a meeting with Odo, and convinced Odo to take him back to the Federation.
During the journey back to DS9, Weyoun gave Odo some valuable insights into Vorta culture, as to how the Founders had engineered the Vorta to be the day to day leaders in gratitude for a Vorta family saving the life of a Founder many years ago. He also informed Odo that the Female Changeling and the rest of the Great Link were dying of some unknown disease.
When their runabout came under attack from the Jem'Hadar, Weyoun 6 elected to commit suicide in front of Weyoun 7 in order to save Odo's life. The last moments of Weyoun 6's life were happy ones, as Odo gave him his blessing before he died and the last thing Weyoun 6 saw was one of his gods smiling down upon him.
After the surrender of the Dominion following the Battle of Cardassia, Odo retrieved Weyoun 8's transcorder, hoping to have another Weyoun cloned that he could influence to be like Weyoun 6. In the first splinter timeline, Odo was able to influence that Weyoun to be more like Weyoun 6, and ultimately that Weyoun sought sanctuary in the Federation.
