A young Autobot, Wheelie's function is listed as "survivalist". He despises the Quintessons and their Sharkticons minions, but only fights when he has no alternative.
At least one of the Sharkticons, named Gnaw, became good friend with Wheelie. He was voiced by Frank Welker, who best known voicing Megatron.
History[]
The Movie[]
Wheelie was a small Autobot who had somehow become stranded on the Quintessons' planet. On seeing Kup and Hot Rod had been captured by the Quintessons, Wheelie went looking for the newly-arrived Dinobots and convinced them to join him in rescuing their friends, after which they all left the planet in a Quintesson ship.
Season 3[]
In the five-part opener "Five Faces of Darkness", Wheelie and Blurr were despatched by Perceptor to transport Metroplex's transformation cog to Autobot City on Earth. En route, they were attacked by Galvatron and a small group of Decepticons and left stranded on one of Jupiter's moons. They were rescued by Marissa Faireborn and Sky Lynx and managed to deliver the cog in time for Metroplex to fight off an attack by Trypticon.
In "Chaos", Wheelie was part of a small group of Autobots who accompanied Kup back to the planet Dread to stop the Decepticons getting their hands on death crystals. In "Surprise Party", he joined Daniel Witwicky in travelling to a data storage centre to find out Ultra Magnus' birthday in order to arrange a party for him, only to get attacked by the defenders and Cyclonus. He had a number of small roles in other episodes and made his last appearance in "The Return of Optimus Prime", when he accompanied Rodimus Prime to retrieve Optimus Prime's body from human scientists Morgan and Swafford and was mentioned among those damaged by a Hate Plague-infected Superion.
The Headmasters[]
Marvel Comics[]
Wheelie's only appearance was in Marvel UK's post-movie story "Space Pirates", where he had been sent by Rodimus Prime to keep an eye on Quintesson. He rescued Wreck-Gar when he escaped the planet and together they managed to locate the other Junkions and broadcast the fact the Quintessons had been analysing planets to invade them to the rest of the galaxy.
