Woebegone is a supporting character in My Little Pony 'n Friends.
He first appares in Woe is Me. Where he needs someone. A sad little hobo with terrible luck following him everywhere. His wanderings lead him to Dream Valley, where the ponies refuse to send him off despite his insistence that he'll only bring them bad luck. His bad luck was given to him through a curse, levied by a witch he antagonized as a child.
Woebegone's curse is ultimately fueled by his belief in it. As long as he's convinced that he's unlucky, unlucky he shall be.
The most immediately obvious sign of his curse is a black raincloud always hovering over his head, periodically raining down on him or shooting down bolts of lightning.
