Woo Jinchul (Akira Inukai in the Japanese version of the anime) is a major in the Korean fantasy manhwa and light novel series Solo Leveling. He is the former chief inspector of the surveillance team of the Korean Hunter Association, but eventually was promoted to as the new chairman of the assocation following the death of the original chairman, Go Gunhee.

He is voiced by Makoto Furukawa in Japanese, by Beom-sik Shin in Korean, and by SungWon Cho in English.

Appearance[]

Jinchul is a lean young man presumably in his mid-20s with khaki-colored hair of medium length slicked at the back, usually leaving with a small bang in the middle. His eyes are a black color, but emit a purple color when his powers are activated. As hunter association staff, he sports black formal suit.

Personality[]

Jinchul is a calm and serious individual. His emotion are scarcely exhibited and is acts very professional as the hunter association's staff. Jinchul does not believe in things without much evidence, in practice of his initial confusion of an agent reporting him the death of Hwang Dongsuk and his squad inside a dungeon, questioning what was strange about their death as such tragedy are quite common inside dungeons. He and Gunhee have both a sense of distain against individuals who have a sense of selfishness. Jinchul harbored immense loyalty and admiration over Gunhee, as his successor, and fell into deep sorrowness for days after hearing Gunhee's death at the hand of the Frost Monarch.

Powers and Abilities[]

Despite being an A-Rank hunter, Jinchul is among the strongest hunters of his rank and even be considered as close to S-Rank.

  • Enhanced Durability: Jinchul remained intact after throwing his fist at one of Architect's statues. He was also capable of tanking Gunhee's punches.
  • Enhanced Speed: Jinchul was capable of invading the Statue of God's light beam.
  • Martial Artist: In the anime, Jinchul was shown to be capable in martial art, but was casually overwhelmed by Gunhee.

Equipments[]

  • Gloves: Jinchul's weapons of choice are durable gloves that he use to punch his enemies.
