Biography
Wreck-It Ralph
According to the main idea, Ralph has had enough of doing the same job over and over again for thirty years because he has been disliked for doing it, and so, he wants to prove that he can be a good guy, He went to Pac-Man for a video game villain meeting. He and the other villains aside from Clyde leave Pac-Man after they do the bad guy motto and board a train that heads back to Game Central Station. As he exits Pac-Man Ralph runs into the Surge Protector, being sarcastic and rude to him while lying to him about him not carrying fruit. As he heads back to his own game he walks into Q*bert and other characters from his game of the same name, and warmly gives them fresh cherries from Pac-Man. But just as he enters his game he runs into the Surge Protector again, much to his annoyance.
Ralph goes back into his game, Fix-It Felix, Jr. and gets mad because the Nicelanders did not invite him for the 30th anniversary of their game, but invited other characters, such as Pac-Man, to the celebration instead. Not going to stand for this Ralph heads to the apartment & up to the penthouse where the party's being hosted, but after the apartment's rude mayor Gene opens the door, he gasps when he sees Ralph. The Nicelanders fear that he may destroy the building again and order the game's titular hero Fix-It Felix, Jr. to take him down, however Felix makes another decision to talk to him about the anniversary of his game. Ralph walks in while saying hello to the Nicelanders. He wanted to come in because he always wanted to try a cake, and because he is an important part of the game. He would've eaten the cake, but he notices his figure is stuck in mud, which is chocolate-flavored. Ralph then tells Mary that he's never been a big fan of chocolate and that his cake figure would be happier if he were on top of the roof like the rest of the cast. Gene knocks Ralph's figure back down to the mud, telling him there's no room for him. However, Ralph then inverts this by putting his figure on the roof again and Felix's figure in the mud. He then gets into an argument with Gene, and smashes the cake.
Finally having the last straw of not having any respect, an upset Ralph then proclaims that he's going to win the shiniest medal the game has ever heard of, to which an angry Gene sarcastically bet that he'll give him the penthouse if he succeeds in doing so, Ralph then boldy takes the bet and leaves the game, but not knowing how to do it Ralph goes to the saloon game Tapper's to ask the titular bartender for help. Ralph asks him if there's a game where he could go and win a medal, but Tapper tells him that he's not sure if a game like that exists, but he does suggests him to go check the lost and found stuff. Taking his suggestion to heart, Ralph checks if there's a medal, but all he finds is just a Super Mushroom from Super Mario Bros., an exclamation mark from Metal Gear Solid, and much to his disgust, Zangief's underwear from Street Fighter. Just as he's about to give up, a character named Private Markowski from space-themed game Hero's Duty bumps into him, sensing something wrong with him, Ralph asks him if he's alright, which causes him to ramble about all the horrors his game has to offer even though they've been just plugged in for a week, but while Ralph is unfazed by his problems, he learns much to his excitement that after completing their game, players will just simply win a medal called the Medal of Heroes.
When a cockroach crawls up on Ralph's arm, the moment he sees it, it makes Markowski scream and run into a wall, knocking himself unconscious. Seeing this as the perfect opportunity to change his life forever, Ralph decides to undress Markowski and steal his armor, before heading to Hero's Duty and win a medal. Just as the arcade begins opening and all characters head back to their original games Ralph runs into Q*Bert again, telling him he's going to another game. Q*Bert notices he's "going Turbo", which means one video game is invading another. Ralph then seizes this opportunity to win a medal and sneaks into the game. However, it's not at all what he had hoped as the moment the game starts, he sees Hero's Duty instead turns out to be a violent game infested by deadly creatures known as the Cy-Bugs, but the scariest thing he finds about them is that unlike everyone else in the arcade, they genuinely act & think like ravenous alien locusts, which scares him so much that he ducks behind the current player's avatar which causes it to be game over. After gaining the ire of the tough leader Sergeant Calhoun and the moment he's out of sight, Ralph heads to the top of the tower where the medal is held, and after narrowly avoiding all the Cy-bug eggs present he obtains the medal, but because he got distracted by the applauding holograms (which usually happens when a player wins) he accidentally hatches a Cy-Bug egg by stepping on it and the baby bug attacks Ralph by the face, making him fall into an escape shuttle that blasts them both out of Hero's Duty and right into Game Central Station, causing a bunch of ruckus before the shuttle flies right into Sugar Rush, a candy-themed kart racing game.
After his catastrophic entrance into Sugar Rush, Ralph manages to send the Cy-Bug right into a taffy swamp and sinks but he realizes that he accidentally lost his medal during the crash, which is soon stolen by a little girl named Vanellope. Vanellope uses the medal to insert herself into Sugar Rush's upcoming race which will determine the newest avatars when the arcade opens the next day, as every racer needs to pay admission with one gold coin. Ralph tries to capture Vanellope to get his medal, but because he got covered in taffy as well as inadvertently wrecked the stadium while chasing her before the race can even begin, the ruler of the game, King Candy, orders his security guards to capture Ralph. Afterwards Ralph is taken to the king's castle where he meets King Candy himself, and his assistant, Sour Bill. Ralph explains that he's only in Sugar Rush to retrieve his medal after Vanellope stole it, but the king tells Ralph the medal is now nothing but code and can only be retrieved when someone wins the cup at the end of the race. Ralph then openly decides to steal back the medal once the race is won, but King Candy orders him to leave the game or be imprisoned. Ralph escapes to find some racers to help win back his medal, but he instead finds Vanellope being tormented by the racers.
Ralph scares them off, feeling sympathy for the child. After the racers retreat, Vanellope explains that she was going to return his medal the moment she won the race. Unfortunately, the other racers destroyed Vanellope's kart as she is banned from racing because she was said to be a glitch and glitches don't race. Ralph then goes into a fit of rage as he was now without any apparent chance of getting his medal back. He begins to wreck the nearest things and even splits a huge jawbreaker in half.
Impressed by Ralph's strength, Vanellope proposes a deal that he break into King Candy's kart factory where karts for the game are built to built a new cart so that she can win the next race and return his medal. Ralph reluctantly agrees and the duo head off. At the factory, Ralph and Vanellope work together to make the kart, which comes out perfect for Vanellope despite its repulsive appearance. Ralph and Vanellope then sign the kart and begin to bond together when Vanellope's excitement over the haggard kart proves that Ralph can do more than wreck things and is actually capable of bringing happiness to others. However, the moment is short-lived as King Candy and his henchmen arrive and chase Ralph and Vanellope down before Vanellope admits she doesn't know how to drive a cart.
Using his fists, Ralph gets himself, Vanellope, and the kart to the safety of Vanellope's secret hideout in Diet Cola Mountain. Inside, knowing Vanellope needs to learn how to drive, Ralph decides to build a track and teach her himself. During this time, Vanellope also tells Ralph that because of her ability, she isn't allowed to race and is constantly treated harshly by the inhabitants of the game. Ralph asks why she won't simply leave the game for a new one and Vanellope reveals that glitches can't leave their games. The duo take to the track and become fairly close during the process. Afterwards, the friends begin to make way for the upcoming Roster Race, but Vanellope runs back into the mountain to get something.
During her absence, King Candy arrives and tells Ralph that if Vanellope were to glitch during a race, the players would think the game was broken and Sugar Rush would be unplugged. Not only that, Vanellope would die along with the game since she cannot escape. Ralph sadly understands the situation and King Candy returns his medal. When Vanellope returns, she gives Ralph a medal she made that read, "You're my hero" just in case they didn't win the race. The emotionally-wrecked Ralph then tries to dissuade Vanellope from racing, but when Vanellope notices Ralph's medal, she believes he has ratted her out to the King for it, and the two begin to argue.
Ralph tries to explain how Vanellope's life is at risk, but she won't listen as she believed Ralph has betrayed her. Vanellope declares that she no longer needs Ralph's assistance and shall go on without him. However, fearing for her safety, Ralph hangs Vanellope on a lollipop tree and goes to wreck her kart. Vanellope screams for him to stop, but Ralph crushes the kart, along with her dreams of racing and getting a better life. Distraught, Vanellope glitches off the lollipop tree and looks to Ralph through tears, saying he really is a bad guy. The young glitch then runs off heartbroken and Ralph, feeling downhearted and remorseful, returns to his game with his medal.
When he returns to his game and heads to the apartment, he finds that all the Nicelanders, except Gene, have fled to Game Central Station. Gene tells Ralph that during his time away, Felix had left to look for him but hasn't returned since, which made everyone panic and flee the game. Gene also informs Ralph (to his distraught) that because he was gone during the gaming hours, the owner of the arcade Stan Litwak thinks that it's broken and will be unplugging their game in the morning. Ralph apologizes for the catastrophe, but Gene still doesn't feel pity for him but he does hand over the keys to the penthouse as promised, before leaving as well. The miserable Ralph then stands on the balcony of the apartment building, regretting everything he's done, especially ruining Vanellope's only chance of a better life. It was in that moment that Ralph realized how awful he's been and throws his medal at the screen of the game, accepting that he's no hero. The impact of the medal knocks off the out of order sign just enough to reveal the Sugar Rush cabinet. Seeing the cabinet, Ralph notices a picture of Vanellope driving King Candy's kart featured prominently on it, making him suspicious of the king's words. Seeking redemption for his actions, Ralph rushes back to Sugar Rush to find answers. When he arrives, Ralph returns to diet cola mountain where finds Sour Bill, who is cleaning the wreckage of Vanellope's kart, and begins asking him about Vanellope's existence, which causes him to run away.
Capturing him and by licking him as a method of torture, Ralph gets Sour Bill to reveal that Vanellope is indeed a character in the game until King Candy hacked into Sugar Rush's codes and tried to erase her out of existence, turning her into a glitch, he even locked away everyone's memory about her so that no one, including herself, can remember what her role really it. He also reveals to Ralph that the real reason he's trying to keep her from racing is because if Vanellope crosses the finish line in an official race, the game will reset and she'll no longer be a glitch. Bill then tells Ralph that Vanellope and Felix are both trapped in King Candy's fungeon, the latter's reason for being there is that during his search for him, he was thrown in jail. Ralph then sticks Sour Bill onto a lollipop tree, sparing him, and determined to set things right, he collects the pieces of Vanellope's destroyed kart and races to set his friends free, making it to the castle, Ralph barges into the cell where Felix is imprisoned, where he confesses to Felix that he ran off to try to be a good-guy because he was tired of being rejected and treated like a criminal, which was his everyday life for the last 30 years. Beginning to understand how he can't change who he is, Ralph asks Felix to fix Vanellope's destroyed kart (the only hope for Vanellope), promising that he will never try to be good again if Felix does so. Feeling proud of Ralph for showing that he cares for others and is now on a selfless mission, Felix happily agrees to fix Vanellope's kart.
Ralph then breaks into the cell where Vanellope is imprisoned and rolls in her repaired kart, confessing to her that he is an idiot, a real numbskull, a selfish diaper baby, and a stink-brain (the last three confessions being playfully persuaded by Vanellope), which is enough for Vanellope to forgive him and the two pals, along with Felix, rush to the Random Roster Race right as it's about to start. Ralph instructs her to just cross the finish line to be a real racer as she doesn't have to win, but Vanellope, declaring herself to be a real racer already, is determined to win the race. She gets into the already-started race, but her glitching gets her to second place, behind King Candy, within minutes. As Ralph focuses on the jumbo screen near the start/finish line overlooking the race, he is punched by Sergeant Calhoun, who tells him that the game is going down and it's his fault for letting it happen, because Cy-Bug he sent into the Taffy swamp not only survived, but had eaten enough of the candy terrain and laid trillions of eggs and had begun hatching. But when Ralph assures her otherwise, he is immediately proven wrong when swarms of Cy-Bugs explode from the grounds and begin to ravage through Sugar Rush, prompting Calhoun to evacuate the citizens.
Back on the track, Vanellope passes King Candy, but the king rams into her kart in an attempt to destroy it. Vanellope fights him off and King Candy begins to glitch as she does. As Ralph fights off the bugs to give Vanellope enough time to make it back in time, Felix tells him to turn to the screen to see Vanellope and King Candy fighting. Vanellope's glitching causes King Candy to glitch also, making his facade fall and revealing himself to be Turbo, the old racer whose game-jumping has ended two games, and supposedly, his life. Both Felix and Ralph are shocked and speechless at the revelation. Meanwhile, Vanellope is able to escape Turbo, but just then, more Cy-Bugs explode from the sides of the track as she approaches the finish line. Vanellope's kart is caught in the explosion, which sends her falling off the track, prompting Ralph and Felix to come to her rescue, but the Cy-Bugs destroy the finish line.
Seeing as the game has little to no hope of survival, Ralph grabs Vanellope and heads for Game Central Station, but Vanellope, still being a glitch, is unable to leave. Despite this, she softly tells Ralph to go without her, but Ralph refuses to leave Vanellope to die as he desperately thinks of a way to save her. When he overhears Calhoun telling Felix that the monsters can't be stopped without a beacon (being bugs they will fly into any form of light that'll instantly destroy them), Ralph quickly formulates an idea to erupt the Diet Cola Mountain, hoping that the lava light will be mistaken for a beacon, which will attract the Cy-Bugs and destroy them all at once. He borrows Calhoun's hoverboard and flies to the top of the mountain, where he begins to smash its crater of Mentos with his fists. Just as Ralph is about to bring down the crater, Turbo (who has transformed into a Cy-Bug hybrid after being consumed by one) arrives and then proclaims that he's now a virus, he will lead his army across the entire arcade and takeover every game at once as revenge if he will never become popular again before attempting to kill Ralph just for the heck of it. They battle atop the mountain as Ralph desperately tries to bring the Mentos down, but Turbo gains the upper hand due to his newfound strength before lifting Ralph into the air, where he is forced to watch helplessly as the Cy-Bugs slowly make it to the game's exit and they close in on a trapped Vanellope. Giggling, Turbo darkly declares it's game-over for the two.
But just as it looked like Turbo has won, Ralph resigns himself to his fate and re-affirms Turbo's statement it is game over... just for him, as he breaks himself free from Turbo's grasp and falls right back down to Mentos crater. As he falls back down towards Diet Cola Mountain and his death, Ralph heroically recites the Bad Guy Affirmation he learned at Bad-Anon and tightly grips Vanellope's medal just as he lands one final smash on top of the Mentos. Having plummeted from an altitude high enough, his one forceful smash sends the entire crater of Mentos barreling down. But just before he plunges right into the hot diet cola he is then saved by Vanellope, who uses another racer's kart to race into the mountain and catch him before he dies. Together, the two escape the mountain and fall safely into a pond of chocolate just as massive amounts of Mentos plunge into the lava, causing the mountain to erupt. Just as Ralph had thought the eruption of Diet Cola Mountain produces a beacon that attracts all the Cy-Bugs, including Turbo, and vaporizes them for good, saving Sugar Rush and the entire arcade. In a moment of rejoice at having survived a near fatal catastrophe, Ralph finds himself swimming in chocolate and loudly announces his newfound love for chocolate (which he previously hated) as he and Vanellope happily swim in it in victory.
With the threat of the Cy-Bugs gone for good, Ralph and Vanellope meet up with Felix and Calhoun (who had fallen in love with each other during their time traveling together) back at the track, where Felix fixes up the finish line allowing Vanellope to finish the race. With no dangers left, Ralph pushes Vanellope's kart, with Vanellope inside, across the finish line, and she is revealed to be the rightful ruler of the kingdom, a princess, as the original codes of Sugar Rush are restored. At this time, the arcade is about ready to open, so Ralph and Vanellope bid each other farewell. Vanellope jumps into Ralph's arms and kindly offers him a room in her castle where he'll be happy, to which Ralph humbly denies the offer, telling her that their friendship is enough to keep him happy and that he has a responsibility of his own, finally accepting his important role as the bad-guy of his game. After many salutations of farewell and humorous name-calling between the two, Ralph heads back to Fix-It Felix, Jr. with Felix just in time to show Mr. Litwak that the game is working again, sparing it from being unplugged.
Once things go back to being normal, Ralph happily accepts his role of being the bad-guy (because he finally taken Zangief's advice about just because he's the villain in his game, doesn't make him one automatically) and the Nicelanders have finally accepted that Ralph is an important part of the game and begin to treat him better. Nicelander Mary even bakes Ralph his own cake. Also, Ralph and Felix invite the homeless video game characters (including Q*bert) to help them out on the "bonus levels" of their game during gaming hours. This new addition has also brought new-found popularity to Fix-It Felix, Jr. Ralph and Felix have also built new apartments for the former and the new characters, making Niceland a home for them, as well. Ralph is also present at the wedding of Felix and Calhoun, serving as Felix's best man and is even shown to be shedding some tears as the bride and the groom officially tie the knot. Finally, Ralph explains during another Bad-Anon meeting that being thrown off the roof has now become the best part of his day due to being able to get a perfect view of Sugar Rush and of Vanellope racing. Many times, Ralph and Vanellope are able to see each other from each other's cabinet, causing the two to happily wave to each other. As a result, it made Ralph see that he doesn't need a medal to show he is good, as through Vanellope's friendship, he's able to see the goodness within his own heart. During the end credits, it is shown that Vanellope and Calhoun regularly visit Ralph and Felix and vice versa, and the friends regularly have game jumping adventures together.
Ralph Breaks the Internet
6 years following his first adventure, Ralph and Vanellope are shown to hang out every after-hours after the arcade closes, but Ralph soon sees another change come into his life when he hears that Litwak is plugging in something new, but as everyone believes it's a new game, he sees that it all but spells "Wi-Fi", to which Sonic explains it's another name for the Internet, a streaming service used by people for various things. But after it's plugged in Surge declares that the internet is something they shouldn't enter before sending them all back to their games as the arcade begins to open. Just before he returns to his game, Ralph learns that Vanellope has grown bored with how her game has become for her and yearns for something new, and wanting to help his friend, Ralph quietly heads into Sugar Rush to do something about it.
Sneaking into Sugar Rush, Ralph decides to grant Vanellope's wish about something new and creates a new track for her, but as soon as she was about to reach the finish line during game-time, Vanellope decides to take his track, which makes her fight for control with current player which ends with the game's steering wheel coming apart. When they call up Mr. Litwak to try & fix the wheel, he accidentally makes it worse by breaking it in two, but while another steering wheel can be both found and bought at eBay, Litwak sees it beyond his money change and had no choice but to unplug the game. Watching all this, Ralph and Vanellope help the other Sugar Rush characters get out of their game as fast as they can and into Game Central Station, just as Litwak unplugs the game and forces all the residence to stay at the station until the Arcade closes.
With all the Sugar Rush characters now staying in Fix-it Felix, Jr., Ralph and Vanellope sit on the atop building of the Niceland penthouse, looking at the broken console, and Ralph really sees how much he messed things up, he later heads to Tapper's to sulk and gives a depressed Felix (who made the mistake of adopting all the Sugar Rush Racers) Vanellope's root beer, since she's not coming. But with Felix's accidental help, Ralph then remembers there was a steering wheel found on eBay and decides to go to the Internet to get it. He finds Vanellope in his old dump and tells him his plan to save her game, heading back to Game Central Station they distract Surge Protector about a fake emergency. Traveling up Litwak's Wi-Fi server, Ralph & Vanellope then watch Litwak's netizen avatar appear before them, going into a capsule that could take people to the Internet. Ralph and Vanellope follow the avatar, and they are suddenly transported into the Internet's hub. Not knowing where eBay it, Ralph then asks the KnowsMore transports the duo to eBay. Upon arriving at eBay, Ralph and Vanellope find the steering wheel needed to fix Sugar Rush and buy it in an auction, but they unknowingly spiked the price of the steering wheel to $27,001. Ralph, broke, turns to a pop-up netizen named Spamley, for help, returning to his website for optional items he can sell for real money, Vanellope decides to get a car in a racing-game called Slaughter Race as their best price.
Entering the game, Ralph and Vanellope find the car, but they see that the car's owner Shank is not willing to give it up so easily, on Vanellope's advice, Ralph creates a diversion for Shank while Vanellope takes the car. However, Shank manages to catch up with them and thwart the theft. Shank and her crew then record a video of Ralph saying "I'm gonna wreck it!" while being trapped by some hard air. Shank created a BuzzzTube account for him. He and Vanellope end up at BuzzzTube, where Yesss, the head algorithm, gives Ralph as many hearts as possible. Ralph also is seen making so many videos, and his most viewed video is his burned pie challenge video. Yesss encourages her pop-up netizens to spread the word about Ralph's videos, so that Ralph could get more views, and thus, more hearts. Vanellope decides to go to other websites as a pop-up, and Ralph chooses one called Oh My Disney for her because it had a castle, and Vanellope was a princess. Yesss agreed to redirect her there. Minutes later, Ralph and Yesss try to upload the final video, but it fails to load. The Eboy (the eBay mascot) tells Ralph that the steering wheel would expire in 30 minutes. Yesss tries to fix it while Ralph reads the comments, some saying that they loved him and others saying that they don't like him. Ralph was warned by Yesss not to read the comments, then tells Ralph that he made enough money to buy the steering wheel.
Ralph thanks Yesss for all her help, and Ralph calls Vanellope on his phone that Yesss has given him, and Vanellope was delighted. Ralph then later makes his way to eBay with the eBoy. At eBay, Ralph is waiting for Vanellope and sees Spamley still seen asking netizens to get rich by playing video games. Ralph then tries to call Vanellope again and sees her with Shank in Slaughter Race and tries to ask why Vanellope is there but his voice is muted. He overhears Vanellope tell Shank that she wants to stay with Shank in Slaughter Race. Ralph is crushed then becomes bitter and asks Spamley if he knows any viruses that could slow down Slaighter Race. Spamley reluctantly takes Ralph to the Dark Net where they are joined by his sidekick Gord. Spamley introduces Ralph to an owner of many viruses and Gord's cousin Double Dan, and Ralph asks him if he's got a virus that will make Slaughter Race boring so that his friend will want to come back with him, with this Double Dan gives them a virus he calls "Arthur", an insecurity virus that scans for defects within codes and spreads them. Sending it inside Slaughter Race, Ralph hopes it will indeed make the game boring, but what he didn't take into account was that since Vanellope isn't part of the game, she technically is a defect, which is something Arthur achknowledges and copies Vanellope's glitch and spreads it throughout the game causing it to deteriorate.
Ralph tries to get inside the game and look for Vanellope. Shank then tells him and Vanellope to both get out of the game as it will reboot. Ralph then picks up an unconscious Vanellope, and she awakens, angry at Ralph, when he admits that he had put the virus in to slow down the game. Ralph defends his actions by telling Vanellope that she's no better than him by revealing that when he tried to call her, she told Shank that she wanted to stay in Slaughter Race forever. Disappointed over his actions, Vanellope takes Ralph's homemade "You're My Hero" medal and throws it down to the Older Net, which breaks in two, before storming off in anger, much to his heartbreak.
Unbeknownst to Ralph, Arthur (who just barely manages to escape the game's reset) sees him in an emotional distraught scans him as he's heading down to retrieve the medal, and due to his emotional state, the insecurity Arthur detected in him reaches up to 100 percent, he launches his insecurities out all over the Internet in the form of thousands of reddish Ralph clones in search for Vanellope. The moment real Ralph sees this, he is determined to make things right and arrives at KnowsMore's sight where he and Vanellope are taking shelter, with options from KnowsMore Ralph comes up with a pln, to have Vanellope lure the clones to Internet's the antivirus district so that they will be deleted. Yesss picks up Ralph and Vanellope as they lead all the viruses to the district, but things get more hard the clones knock away their transport and when they try to get their ride back on top, all the viruses come together in the form a giant Ralph, Ralph orders Yesss to get Vanellope out of there while dukes it out with the giant, but despite his best efforts Vanellope gets captured by the giant Ralph and he takes her to the top of the Google website.
Not ready to give up so easily, Ralph takes control of a flying train and arrives to fight the giant Ralph once more, but the giant Ralph virus grabs Ralph and starts crushing him until Vanellope pleads the giant Ralph to spare him and promises she'll be with him forever. Ralph however overcomes his insecurities by telling them (and an extension to himself) that they have to let Vanellope go and let her make her own decisions, which is enough for Vanellope to forgive him. After Ralph resolves his insecurities, the clones dissolve, but because the Ralph giant was holding him up, the moment it completely vanishes it causes Ralph to fall.
Spamley tries to catch Ralph, but he falls through Spamley's car and gets knocked out, due to his weight. Moana, Ariel, Elsa, and the other Disney Princess, who have been watching the battle the whole time, use their magical powers and skills to rescue Ralph, which results in him safely landing on a bed while wearing Snow White's dress. Tiana's frog, Prince Naveen, kisses him, and Ralph awakens. Ralph is shocked to meet the girls for the first time and asks who they are. The girls tell him that they were with Vanellope during her visit, and they have all become friends with her, and anyone else who is friends with Vanellope is friends with the girls, which makes Ralph their friend, too. Moana then tells Ralph "You're Welcome." Ralph is grateful towards the girls.
After the battle, the Internet is saved and quickly returns to normal, and Ralph then was ready to say goodbye for now to Vanellope, especially now that Shank added her code to the game which makes her an official part of the game. Shank calls Vanellope for another race, and Ralph sadly waved at Vanellope, knowing he would miss her so much, but not before Ralph gives her one half of the broken "You're My Hero" Medal as something to remember each other by as she happily enters the game of her dreams.
With that settled, Ralph wholeheartedly makes his way back to Litwak's arcade just in time for the new steering wheel to be attached to the game and saved Sugar Rush from being taken away. Ralph then goes on to explain the new changes to himself and the arcade, like how the other Sugar Rush racers are able to win now and then, and their time with Felix & Calhoun allowed them to mellow down and become much nicer. He also explained that he has now become a lot more participating in social activities on off-duties, like how he decided to join Zangief's book club at Bad-Anon, and that there is a party he and the arcade's inhabitants now do every friday night as they hang out in a different game, which he himself actually hosted. Ralph talks about all this new stuff with Vanellope on Yesss' phone that he still has, and Vanellope promised that she would visit Ralph at the arcade every now and then. Vanellope then says goodbye and promised she would talk to her next week, and Ralph ends the call as he happily & warmly watches the sunrise as other characters head to their games, Felix appears and asks how he's doing, to which he happily replies he is feeling great with and they head to work, now more happy than ever as he goes on to make the best of his life One game at A time.

Ralph has demonstrated his strength multiple times, such as being able to bring down a building by smashing it with his own two hands, being able to lift a car off the ground with little effort, and he was able to smash through the walls of King Candy's "Fungeon" with a single punch. Also, Ralph was able to bring down the Mentos stalactites with a few smashes to the ground, and other feats demonstrating his supernatural strength level.
- Superhuman Speed: Ralph can move at speeds greater than what is naturally possible.
- Superhuman Durability: Ralph also has seen being superhumanly durable. He was able to withstand a strike from King Candy in his Cy-Bug form (which would have severely injured an ordinary human being), being hit by Vanellope's cart multiple times, and even falling many stories from buildings in his game without sustaining damage.
- Superhuman Agility: Ralph has the capability to move from one place to another with the use of his powerful jumping skills.
- Semi-Immortality: Ralph, being a video game character, also is semi-immortal, meaning that he can never age, but can die from being killed outside his game, which he would be incapable of regenerating from.
- Master-Wrecker: Living up to his name, Ralph is an excellent wrecking man. He is capable of completely obliterating buildings, huge objects, and taking down large structures all with his brute force.

Trivia
- Before John C. Reilly was selected for the role of Ralph, Danny DeVito, Laurence Fishburne, Ray Romano, Tim Allen, Bill Murray, Albert Brooks, Brendan Fraser, Ben Stiller, Benedict Cumberbatch, Danny McBride, Owen Wilson, James McAvoy, Jesse Eisenberg, Justin Long, Jason Lee, Jim Carrey, Steve Carell, Jamie Foxx, Jack Black, Will Arnett, Tom Kenny, Rob Paulsen, Alec Baldwin, Omar Miller, Liev Schreiber, the late Robin Williams, Keanu Reeves, Brian Cox and Dan Aykroyd were all considered to voice him.
- In the sequel, Ralph has gotten so clingy to Vanellope that he cannot even fathom the idea of spending one day apart from her.
- Wreck-It Ralph is loosely based off of Donkey Kong from the Super Mario franchise.
- Wreck-It Ralph and Frozen writer Jennifer Lee once made a tweet jokingly suggesting that Elsa and Wreck-It Ralph would make a good couple during the 2013 D23 Expo. As a nod to that, in Disney INFINITY, if Ralph and Elsa are introduced to one another, Ralph will tell Elsa that she is "really pretty", and Elsa will reply "And you have a warm heart."
- In Ralph Breaks the Internet, Ralph actually gets to meet Elsa, as well as the other Disney Princesses, near the climax when Elsa and the other Princesses save Ralph from falling to his death after he defeats the Wreck-It Ralph virus, and he strikes up a friendship with all of the Princesses. Although Ralph and Elsa don't develop a romantic relationship in the film, it is possible that they will in either a possible future sequel or a possible future spin-off series.
- Ironically, Ralph "going Turbo" in the first film is what indirectly lead to the salvation of both Vanellope and her own game of origin Sugar Rush, especially from being under King Candy's tyrannical rule.
