Personality[]
Wullf Yularen was an intelligent and honorable admiral. During the Clone Wars, he has come to genuinely respect Anakin Skywalker despite being against his reckless behavior. He butts heads with Admiral Trench, who killed many of his men during the Battle of Malastare.
He is not xenophobic unlike the other Imperials as he welcomed Thrawn into the Empire and helped him rise up in the Imperial ranks and would help him in many missions against the Rebels.
He also had a genuine friendship with his protege Alexsandr Kallus and was upset when he betrayed the Empire.

A New Hope[]
Yularen sits in the Death Star's conference room where Tarkin mentions that Emperor Palpatine dissolved the Imperial Senate and that fear of the Death Star will destroy the Rebellion and keep planets in line. At the end of the movie, he perished along with the other people still on the Death Star by the hands of Luke Skywalker.
Trivia[]

- Despite first appearing in A New Hope, the first ever Star Wars movie to be released, he wasn't named or given any personality until Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
