Agent Xavier Collins is the main protagonist of the American Hulu poltical thriller television series Paradise.
He is portrayed by Sterling K. Brown.
Background and story role[]
Xavier had a good childhood growing up and, even long before entering government service, aspired to be a pilot like his father, an airline captain, even going as far as to earn his pilot's license. Later in his life, however, his relationship with his father became rocky when the latter refused to retire despite being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Ultimately, when Collins was officially hired as an agent, he signed the retirement paperwork for his father, who was initially upset, but seemingly managed to get over it and cherish the time he had left with the family before passing away.
When Collins meets Cal Bradford for the first time, he is skeptical about the President's choosing of him. However, Cal assures him that he was chosen because he was a good agent and that he was trusted with serious responsibilities. As such, President Bradford and his team task him with handling top-secret government information and operations.
Personality[]
For much of the story, Collins' personality is presented as largely plain and somewhat dull. He is rarely seen smiling, and he speaks with a soft-spoken voice most of the time, even in some intense situations.
