~ Yolay's catchphrase. |
Yolay Caprese is a supporting character in the Dog Man book franchise.
History[]
Past[]
Not much of her past is known, yet it can be presumed that she moved to America from Italy and became a famous actress there. It is known that before the series, Yolay starred in a movie named "Supa Bella", a parody of Wonder Woman, as revealed in Cat Kid Comic Club: On Purpose.
Dog Man and Cat Kid[]
In Dog Man and Cat Kid, she serves as the tritagonist.
When director Sam E. Hamilton announced his new production of the Dog Man movie, he revealed the movie would have Yolay in it as one of the stars of the movie. As if on cue, Yolay came afterward and reveals that Dog Man would be her bodyguard and would be paid via belly rubs, which Dog Man enjoys.
She is later seen getting out of a limousine into the Gassy Behemoth Studios and reveals herself to be playing Sarah Hatoff, which Sarah isn't very fond of, due to her being Italian instead of Australian.
During the production of the film, Yolay is seen angry after hearing that her bodyguard would be fired. Even though she tries to fight it, Sam's decision is not changed, and Dog Man is forced to go back home.
Later in the day, Yolay is seen wanting to help Sam with the damages to the theater accidentally made by Dog Man, until she is caught by Petey the Cat's trap and is kidnapped.
Later, after Li’l Petey escapes from the commotion of his father's kidnap, Dog Man, who stole a movie prop and couldn't control it, tries to save Yolay and barely succeeds in getting her hand as soon as the movie prop's helicopter wings cut off Yolay's rope. Right afterward, Dog Man accidentally crashes the prop out of the studio and fly over a sentient dinosaur skeleton created in the second book. However, they are saved by Li’l Petey.
Once the three return to the studio, they are greeted by the army of Mecha-Weenies, which Yolay comments on and says they're cute, offending their leader. The leader Mecha-Weenie then states that they were buff and shows them the muscles they had, yet Yolay laughs. Because of this, the leader Mecha-Weenie commands his troops to kill them, yet they fail to kill them and only cause a brief annoyance.
They are then interuppted by the sudden appearance of Sarah, Chief, and Zuzu dressed as superheroes and looking stupid. However, Sarah, dressed as Purse Lady, hits the leader Mecha-Weenie with her purse enough to stupidity, causing all of the Mecha-Weenies to flee.
Later, the gang notice Petey wrecking havoc onto the city with Supa-Mecha Philly. After the gang fight him a bit, Yolay and Li’l Petey are captured, yet Li’l Petey escapes and goes to find 80-HD.
However, once he gets back with 80-HD, the whole gang is captured, and 80-HD has run out of power. Due to this, Petey commands Supa-Mecha Philly to kick 80-HD into space, which ends up backfiring, as 80-HD landed in Japan, where it was broad daylight, charged up to full power, and used his speed back into their city to slice through Supa-Mecha Philly, freeing everyone, and having Petey get his well-deserved arrest.
Before she leaves with the rest of everyone, Yolay can be last seen cheering up Li’l Petey for his many crimes he was manipulated into doing by his father.
Dog Man: Brawl of the Wild[]
In Dog Man: Brawl of the Wild, Yolay serves as a supporting protagonist.
She is first seen getting out of a limousine to the Gassy Behemoth Studios, now turned into a theater, where he meets the rude guard. The guard explains that Dog Man continued to dig holes everywhere, and it annoyed him that he couldn't find him. After saying some rude words to 'Dog Man' in a hole they were standing by, Yolay angrily kicked him into the hole.
Later, she can be seen watching the corrupt judge in the city fall down into the same hole with the guard, where she finds the gang following the judge. Now with them, Sarah explains that Dog Man had been framed from an imposter disguised as him and was know currently in jail.
The gang plan things out, and Sarah, Yolay, and Zuzu are sent to find the imposter as Li’l Petey and 80-HD are sent to save Dog Man.
Later, Sarah leads them to a 'seedy' part of the city while Zuzu sniffs out clues and Yolay would use her impressive 'people skills', as demonstrated when she finds a buff person, calls him Booger Breath, and beats him up after he refuses to give information, causing him to say that the imposter was robbing a nearby Living Spray factory outlet, and runs away.
Now having deliberately forced knowledge out of a man, Yolay, Sarah, and Zuzu hurry to the Living Spray factory outlet, where they meet the imposter. The girls chase the imposter, until they trip on Zuzu, who came right in front of them. Now having been defeated, Yolay takes off their imposter mask and reveals the imposter to be a shrunken Piggy, Crunky, and Bub in a robot. However, before accepting defeat, they quickly grab the Living Spray they stole and pointed it at a nearby car, yet Zuzu grabs it before it is sprayed.
A chase begins with the F.L.E.A.S chasing Zuzu, with Sarah and Yolay in hot pursuit. It eventually leads up to the theater, where the F.L.E.A.S accidentally knock down thr judge and guard back into the hole while still chasing Zuzu into the room where the finished Dog Man movie is being projected. There, Sarah and Yolay beat up the robot, before finding out the F.L.E.A.S escaped with the Living Spray and just sprayed it on the screen projecting Claymation Philly, turning it to life. This causes the girls plus an escaped Dog Man,his dog cellmates, and 80-HD to evacuate the building while Chief is kidnapped and taken outside.
When a reformed Petey and his son come and save Chief from Claymation Philly, Yolay and Sarah stop the congratulating of Chief's survival and remind them about the others inside the building and about Claymation Philly.
While Dog Man and Li’l Petey take care of Claymation Philly, Yolay and the gang go inside the building and save as many people as possible.
Eventually, only one person remained, a dimwitted cashier named Dippy. However, everyone had been bringing the people in the theater to the roof, and eventually the fire created by Claymation Philly' arrival made them stuck on the roof, with no way of going down to save Dippy.
However, the day is saved when 80-HD and Li’l Petey bring Dog Man there, who had eaten the entirely of Claymation Philly, who pukes up all of the clay onto the burning theater, igniting the fire as Dog Man's cellmates save Dippy, who merely thought it was all a realistic 3D movie.
While the gang walked Petey to Cat Jail, Li’l Petey realized that Dog Man was sad because many people called him a misfit, so everyone cheers him up by saying they ALSO felt like misfits, including Yolay.
After Dog Man: Brawl of the Wild, Yolay is unseen for the rest of the franchise, besides making a few cameo appearances in Cat Kid Comic Club: On Purpose and Dog Man: The Scarlet Shedder.
