Yu Haibara is a minor posthumous character in the anime/manga series Jujutsu Kaisen. He is a jujutsu sorcerer and a first-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High along with Kento Nanami, his best friend. At some in the past, he lost his life during a mission in 2006.
He is voiced by Gakuto Kajiwara in Japanese and by Ryan Colt Levy in English.
Appearance[]
Yu is a teenager of tall height with a brown short bow haircut style. He wore the male standard jujutsu high student uniform, which is a dark blue colour jacket, a white shirt underneath, and a pant of matching colour.
Personality[]
During his time, he is often seen hanging out with Nanami, being portrayed as a positive person as he expresses his elation to Nanami, who expresses the opposite mood. When Yuki Tsukumo asked him about what type of woman he prefers, when he was sitting beside Suguru Geto, he responded the type that eats a lot.

At an airport, Yu shows his positive opinion about their assignment to take care of Riko as Nanami share his negative opinion. A year passed, and Yu reappears at Jujutsu High where he chats with Suguru for a moment before being met by Yuki Tsukumo who asks both of them what their type females are. Yu replies that he preferes one that eats a lot, with Suguru telling him not to. Yu leaves the two to chat by themselves for a mission that he was assigned to. However things took a wrong turn as Yu lost his life during the mission and his body is seen in the morgue of the college with Suguru taking care at his corpse with a frustrated Nanami nearby.

On the verge of death, Nanami sees Haibara's spirit telling him before he perishing at the hand of Mahito.

- Yu has a younger sister that can see curse but he is the only one of his family that is sorcerer.
