The Jade emperor yu-huang is the ruler of tian and the chinese gods. He achieved wisdom and enlightenment at a very early age.
History[]
Yu huang ascended the kingdom's throne upon his fathers death and his reign was characterized by his benevolence toward the neediest and the most destitute segments of society. Such benevolence, compassion, moderation and humility caused to choose yu huang to serve as his immortal assistant and his successor. He bestowed him the peaches of immortality and acheived godhood upon eating them.
He assumed the administrator of heaven and became the supreme overseer of heaven and earth and he ruled from yujing shan, promoting comptetent subordinates and demoting or dismissing the gods who failed to carry out their divine duties.
