Yuichi Kimura (木村雄一), also known as The Father is the tritagonist of the 2022 action/comedy film Bullet Train. Kimura is an assassin, unknowingly working for The White Death, who boards the train in order to get revenge on the person, who pushed his son off a roof.
Biography[]
Yuichi Kimura was born as the son of Shigeru Kimura, a high-ranking member of Yoshio Minegishi's criminal empire, and his wife. After Minegishi was betrayed by The White Death, Yuichi's mother was killed and he was rescued by his father.
Decades later, Yuichi had a son, Wataru, with whom he spent a lot of time with. At one point his son was lured to the roof of a parking garage by a young assassin called The Prince and pushed off, resulting in Wataru falling into a coma. Fueled by vengeance, Yuichi picks up on a clue to The Prince's identity and location. He boards a bullet train in Tokyo and confronts The Prince, who tricks him by looking a young girl and quickly uses a tazer to incapacitate him.
When Yuichi wakes up, The Prince threatens to have his son killed in the hospital, if she doesn't answer her phone regularly. Under these conditions Yuichi agrees to help the The Prince achieve her goals of killing The White Death. The Prince soon locates a briefcase belonging to The White Death and rigs it with explosives along with the gun she carries around.
Shortly afterwards, Yuichi and The Prince run into Lemon, an assassin looking for the briefcase, who realizes that The Prince and Yuichi are lying to him about the briefcase. Lemon shoots Yuichi in the abdomen and hides his body in a toilet cabin. Lemon is quickly tricked and shot by The Prince, who stores his body along with Yuichi's in the toilet cabin.
Despite his wounds, Yuichi managed to survive his wounds and is found by an assassin named Ladybug and his father, Shigeru, who also managed to get rid of the assassin ordered to kill Wataru in the hospital. Lemon also survives due to wearing a bulletproof vest and a conflict breaks out between the two, due to Lemon shooting Yuichi. Shigeru resolves the conflict and all four prepare for The White Death's arrival at Kyoto station.
After The White Death boards the train, Yuichi and Shigeru eliminate many of his henchmen and Yuichi saves his father from being killed by The White Death by throwing a water bottle at his head. Following that Shigeru mortally wounds The White Death with his katana.
The train crashes afterwards and Yuichi, Shigeru and Ladybug manage to survive the crash and The White Death accidently shoots himself with The Prince's rigged gun. The trio is confronted by The Prince, who is quickly run over by Lemon driving a tangerine truck. Yuichi and Shigeru bid farewell to Ladybug.
