Yuichiro Tokito is a minor character of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, debuting in the Swordsmith Village Arc, he’s the older twin brother of Muichiro Tokito.
Characteristics[]
Ever since his and Muichiro’s parents’ deaths, he became extremely strict towards his brother, almost never listening to him, yelling at him, especially about the topic of joining the Demon Slayers. However, he still does love Muichiro and even sacrificed his own life to protect him from the demon that attacked their house. Following the incident, he quietly said that he wishes the Demon Slayers to accept Muichiro and that the latter is thoughtful of others and different than Yuichiro himself.
History[]
Yuichiro’s lifestyle is shown in a flashback when his brother was fighting Gyokko. They were twins who were woodcutters and the sons of Mr. and Mrs. Tokito. One day, their mother became ill, so Mr. Tokito went out to search for a flower to heal his wife. However, this fails as he fell down to a cliff and died, his wife died on the same day due to this failure. Ever since that day, Yuichiro has been very strict towards Muichiro, especially about the topic of joining the Demon Slayer Corps, because he didn’t one to lose a for caring for another again. According to Muichiro, they didn’t talk to each other ever since then, with an exception of when Amane became to their house which Yuichiro violently attacked her out. Later, during a night, a demon intruded into their house when the twins were sleeping. Muichiro woke up, encountering the demon first. Some moments later, just before the demon could attack Muichiro, Yuichiro woke up and got in the way instead. During sunrise, he was quietly saying that Muichiro is kind and thoughtful and unlike Yuichiro himself and quietly begged the Demon Slayer Corps to accept him.
