Yuki Yokoya, or sometimes referred as Miss Maid, is the titular deuteragonist of manga and anime series You Are Ms. Servant. Sent by her master, she arrives to be the assistant of Hitoyoshi Yokoya, a young high school oy who lives alone. The boy suggests her to try to adapt to a normal life and forsake her life as an assassin and be his maid. Due to having faint memories of her past and being raised an assassin, far from her biological parents, it remains unclear what is Yuki's real name. Therefore, Hitoyoshi was asked to named her Yuki, after the snow in winter in December, the month she was born in. Formerly known as Xue the White Wolf, she is later revealed by her fellow assassin to be a former member of the Dragon's Nine Offsprings, an enigmatic Chinese organization said to be a legend.
She is voiced by Reina Ueda in Japanese.
Appearance[]
Yuki is a beautiful stern lady with dark hair tied back into a braid, with two red ribbons with short bangs that frame her face. Her eyes are a dark color and are usually empty. She wears a classic maid outfit: a black dress with a dark green, flowing skirt, and a white apron tied around her waist with a large bow at the back. Her attire features a lace collar, and an apron with a rounded neckline. She wears a pair of fingerless black gloves. Her legs are wear dark leggings, ending in elegant lace-up boots with high heels. Occasionally, she will wield two large knitchen knives.
Personality[]
Due to having been told to kill since at a young age, Yuki exhibits a cold demeanor but is also a soft woman. Regardless, when she saves Hitoyoshi from getting hit by a truck, Yuki exhibits flusteredness, as noted by herself that she has never saved anyone in a such a way before.
Abilities[]
- Master Knifemanship: As an assassin, Yuki is exceptional in the use of knives or sharp weapons alike, such as throwing them with high precision or cutting vegetables in seconds for cooking.
- Multilingualism: After signing an "autograph", Yuki claims to be capable of speaking over twelve (most likely at fluent levels), mainly by speech, due to having travelled around the world when back then as an assassin.
Trivia[]
- Her assassin name as "Xue" is the pronounciation and meaning for "snow" in Chinese, coincidentally just like her Japanese name "Yuki" given by Hitoyoshi, with both name using the same kanji and hanzi "雪" from the respective language.
