Yukinori Shinohara is a major character in the Tokyo Ghoul franchise. He a Special Class Ghoul Investigator, Investigation Commander in Division I and Juuzou Suzuya's mentor. In the past, he was also Koutarou Amon instructor in the academy as well as Kureo Mado's former partner.

He was voiced by Yutaka Nakano in the Japanese version and by Brandon Potter in the English version.

Appereance[]

He is a middle-aged man with black and short hair and beard, and with a robust composture. He is mostly seen in suit and carrying a briefcase, as it's normal on the C.C.G., although he sometimes used the Arata proto to fight Ghouls.

In the past, he hadn't beard at all and his hair was a bit longer. He was also thinner. During his comma, his hair is slowly growing up, and after waking up from the comma, he was, once more, way thinner, his hair had turned gray and a several-day beard.

Personality[]

He is mostly a calm man who patiently guides his subordinates, as seen with Juuzou Suzuya and Koutarou Amon in the past. He can also be cheerful and sometimes motives his men to go on, like with Amon after his mentor, Kureo Mado's death.

However, he can sometimes also be strict and harsh, seen when he scolds Juuzou due to his bad behavior, when he slaps Amon when the latter questions his orders, and even when interrogating suspects, as it was Touka Kirishima and Yoshimura's case when being interrogated in Anteiku.
