Yuri is a minor character in We Bare Bears. He is an old Russian man living alone in the arctic as a hermitic survivalist who raised Baby Ice Bear in the episode "Yuri and the Bear".
He is voiced by Darin De Paul.
Appearance[]
Yuri is a tall, muscular man, despite his age. He has small black eyes and a long white beard, with his mustache covering his mouth. He wears a long-sleeved sweater, pants with suspenders, and boots. In the snow, he dons a dark brown ushanka hat, a long coat, and black gloves.
Personality[]
Yuri seems to have an explosive personality and gets easily irritated, as shown when Ice Bear messes with his treasure chest. He may also suffer from PTSD, likely from whatever happened to his family. He speaks in the third person, similar to Ice Bear, explaining where Ice Bear acquired his speech pattern.
Despite his tragic background and distant, temperamental nature, Yuri has a softer side. He used to be a loving family man and raised Ice Bear well. He’s willing to protect Ice Bear at all costs, even as he struggles with his anger and grief.
