History[]
Background[]
Little is known about Boyka's past. He is refered to as Russian and it is also said that he may have originated from Ukraine. At some point in his life he committed a homicide which led to his arrest and imprisonment at Chornya Cholmi. Once there he rose to the top as an extraordinary combatant inside the prison's fighting program, being revered for his strength and feared for his brutality and sadism against his opponents.
By the time he is first introduced, Boyka holds a record of 34 wins and 0 losses, making him the Undisputed champion and a legend among the inmates. During this time he was also approached by Gaga, a Russian gangster who made a fortune by betting on prison fights and went on to profit from Boyka's winning streak.
Undisputed II: Last Man Standing[]
Boyka's status as a champion is first threatened by the arrival of George "Iceman" Chambers, an American boxer, at Chornya Cholmi. Chambers was charged with drug possession during a business trip to Russia but he was secretly framed by gangsters affiliated with Gaga and his own manager who were interested in forcing him to fight inside the prison's program against Boyka.
Though at first Boyka doesn't seem too malicious, Chamber's bad attitude coupled with Boyka's own temper leads to a series of escalating conflicts between the two, ending with Chambers on the prison's blacklist and being subjected to extreme punishment for his refusal to face Boyka in the ring as expected from him.
When Chambers finally accepts Boyka's challenge however he falls for a dirty trick. Unbeknownst to Boyka his followers rig the match in his favor by extorting Chambers' only ally Stevie into slipping a drug in his water. Boyka wins the match easily, knocking Chambers out and sending him to the infirmary. When Chambers wakes up he goes to Stevie's cell and finds him dead, with a suicide note telling him he had no choice.
Furious and still bruised from the fight, Chambers confronts Boyka, calling him a coward who drugs his opponents. Boyka is outraged, denying everything and claiming that Chambers is a sore loser but later he interrogates his own men and learns the truth from them. Angered at having his reputation and honor damaged, Boyka kills the two culprits with his bare hands and agrees to give Chambers a rematch.
During his intense preparation for the fight, Boyka is informed that Chambers is being trained by Crot, an old prisoner and war veteran who instructs him in military combat techniques to better counter Boyka's martial arts. Boyka brushes it off, stating that he still won't walk away from the ring alive.
When the big night arrives, Boyka kicks off the fight by dominating Chambers with a flurry of kicks, only to be taken by surprise as Chambers adapts to his style and starts implementing the grapples and knee strikes he developed during his training with Crot. Both fighters seem evenly matched exchanging combinations and throws but as the fight goes on Chambers realizes Boyka won't do down via knockout so he risks everything in the final round by putting Boyka in a joint lock as he practiced with Crot and then breaks his leg, ending the fight for good.
Chambers emerges victorious from the fight as the new champion, having earned his freedom while Boyka is taken back to his quarters, screaming in pain due to his devastating injury.
Undisputed III: Redemption[]
Years after his defeat at the hands of Chambers, a bitter and disgraced Boyka is now seen working as a janitor in prison, having lost his status as a fighter as a consequence of the injury to his knee. One day he comes across Gaga, who is now moving onto the next step of his business by betting in an inter-prison fighting tournament.
Though his fighting days appear to be over, Boyka secretly starts working out to overcome his injury after having his parole rejected and learning about the upcoming tournament. Although his condition isn't perfect yet he proves to be capable of fighting when he challenges the current local champion Sykov to a match with Gaga's consent, easily defeating him and taking his place as the representative for the tournament.
Earning Gaga's backing, Boyka is transported to the tournament's main headquarters, meeting the other challengers as well as the corrupt guards led by Warden Kuss, who is secretly working to rig the tournament in favor of the Colombian representative, Raúl Quiñones, also known as Dolor, a former Cartel member. While Dolor is given preferential treatment which includes extra training sessions and drugs meant to enhance his performance, Boyka and the rest of the combatants are put to work hard in a mine with awful conditions, having only one hour each to do physical training.
During their forced labor, Boyka grows familiar with an American boxer named Turbo, whose loudmouth and carefree attitude clashes with Boyka's dead serious personality. The two are quick to fight each other, getting into trouble and punishment from the guards but eventually they grow closer despite their differences.
Undisputed IV: Redemption[]
Freed from his strings, Boyka took a time thinking about his deeds and actions, and that he must change. He contributes in an illegal MMA CHAMPIONSHIP, and plays his first fight, which he wins and wins the pricce of the match. Boyka, on order to repent, donates with a bunch of christian books to church, but a clergyman told him that he won't make his repent until he quits fighting, but Boyka refuses because it is a gift and that's what he does for living. Boyka is later seen training in Kiev sports center and he is told by his manager that he will contribute in a legal MMA championship, and if he wins he will contribute in Budapest, which makes Boyka glad and confident.
