Hero Overview

Something only I can do...That is...What I must do!
~ Yuta Hibiki, before being given the Primal Acceptor, Restoration.

Yuta Hibiki is the main protagonist of the SSSS.GRIDMAN. He is the partner of the host of Gridman and the amnesiac high school student. He is the able to being allowed with the inter-dimensional along with materialize.

He was voiced by Yūya Hirose in Japanese version (who also voiced Yuuki Wakura in Chained Soldier, and Alto Goldfield in Vermeil in Gold.), and Brandon McInnis (who also voiced Sir Nighteye in My Hero Academia, and Finral Roulacase in Black Clover) in English.

Appearance[]

As a civilian, Yuta is the teenage boy who has a red hair who has cinnabar, he has only two horns with sticking out on the sides. His eyes are blue. He wears his school uniform, which his has a short-sleeved white shirt, red tie underneath, dark gray sleeveless sweater with the red stripe on his neckline, a black pants, a black soles and jagged red and white shapes, a blue ovals that are positioned similar to eyes with the sneakers.

As Ultraman, Yuta's armour, the Ultra-Suit, who has a yellow eyes look like Gridman's, his suit is red armband with the two black stripes during the last episode.

He also wears a second school uniform with the female looks like a sailor moon.

Personality[]

At core, Yuta is a good person who cares for his friends and the safety of his home city above all else, willing to take his calling as the Hyper Agent's host and partner seriously and prioritized it over his own safety just like his predecessor Naoto Sho regardless. This is true to Sho's description of him being normal but "not a bad guy". Although his real self rendered dormant from being possessed by one of Gridman's splintered fragments, much of his personality traits, including his feelings for Rikka, flowed into it to the point of the fragment in question believed itself to be Yuta's real self until Akane revealed otherwise by stabbing him.

Yuta's true self is confirmed to be basically same as his possessed self in GRIDMAN UNIVERSE. Although unable to remember his time with the Hyper Agent throughout the conflict against Alexis • Kerib and later dismayed by his subpar performance compared to that time, he still jumped to the call as Gridman's partner and host once again. In addition of somewhat emotional (easily moved by drama shows abd worried too much about whether Rikka will accept his love confession due to rumors of her being with an older boy who turned out to be her brother all along), Yuta is proved to be a considerate person, forgiving Gridman for unwittingly and briefly taking over his life due to circumstances beyond their control.

Powers & Abilities[]

Repli-Compoid Physiology: Unlike his predecessor Naoto Sho, Yuta is a Repli-Compoid, human-like beings Akane created with use of her Venoras.

  • Mediumship: Thanks to Gridman who chose him as his newest host and partner as well as unknowingly carrying one of the Hyper Agent's fragment inside him which led to said fragment possessed him and assumed his identity in the process, he's freed from his programming thus gained the ability to perceive the presence of Akane's concealed Venoras despite of her designed them so they cannot be seen by ordinary Repli-Compoids as well as seeing Gridman in his Junk. After his first battle, Yuta would passively shared this ability to his friends Sho and Rikka, though it took Samurai Calibur optimizing the Junk so the two can properly talk to his Hyper Agent partner.
  • Telepathic Link with Gridman (formerly): As the Hyper Agent's chosen host and partner, Yuta and Gridman shared a telepathic link which allows the former to mentally communicate with the latter, be it sending messages into the boy's mind or causing his left hand to generate electric shock. This trait was arguably further attributed by him housing one of Gridman's splinteted fragments. After Gridman's departure, however, he may lose this ability.
