Yuu Takasaki is the major protagonist of Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club. She is the player-insert character (name is player-defined) from the rhythm role-playing mobile game Love Live! School Idol Festival ALL STARS, and one of the main characters that appear in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club anime. She is childhood friends with Ayumu Uehara and is in the same class as her. She is the president of the Nijigasaki High School Idol Club and functions as the group's manager, lyricist and composer. She has green eyes and medium, two-tone hair with black that transitions into green on her twintails and bangs reaching between her eyes. She wears black thigh highs with her uniform. Her main image color is black. She is centimeters tall 156m, and she is the second year in Nijigasaki High School.
She is voiced by Hinaki Yano in Japanese and Madeline Dorroh in English.
Background[]
Yu is a second year at Nijigasaki High School who has been friends with Ayumu since childhood and lives next to each other. Both Yu and Ayumu fell in love with school idols after seeing Setsuna Yuki's performance and decided to enter Nijigasaki's school idol club upon discovering that Setsuna is a student at their school. Rather than becoming a school idol herself, she decided to support Ayumu and other school idols. Her catchphrase is "I'm thrilled!". Yu is the anime equivalent Love Live! School Idol Festival All Stars' protagonist. Her name was decided through fan votes.
In All Stars, the protagonist becomes interested in school idols after seeing a joint live between μ's and Aqours but after looking for a related club in Nijigasaki, they learned that the existing school idol club is on its last legs of survival and decides to rebuild and reform the school idol club. The protagonist acts as the manager and song composer for the rest of the members. The protagonist's gender is left vague in the game and is nameable (At least in the original Japanese version of the game, as the international English version explicitly refers to the player character as "her" given the translators' inability to refer the player as gender neutral.).

Yuu is described as insightful, reliable, quick to take action, and very caring of the Nijigasaki idols. She is adopted a lot of the player character's personality prior to the anime. She is deeps means her inspires goals actions in the game.
Her game is very perceptive who is working hard to be a good leader for them. She is initially works on the new songs and pulling all-nighters so she can achieve perfection.
