Zanoba Shirone is a major supporting character from the fantasy manga, light novel, and anime series, Mushoku Tensei Jobless Reincarnation. He is the third prince of the kingdom of Shirone, but was later exiled by his younger brother, the Seventh Prince, Pax Shirone. He met Rudeus Greyrat, whom he proclaimed as his master and helped him in dealing against his younger brother, in return for his master’s modeling talents at sculpting. Following many months later, he meets Rudeus again as a student at Ranoa Magic Academy where he begs Rudeus to teach him his skills at modeling and eventually bought a young slave dwarf child, Julie, to be taught alongside Zanoba.
He is voiced by Satoshi Tsuruoka in Japanese and by Ian Sinclair in English.
Appearance[]
Zanoba is young lanky-looking man with pale brown hair cut in a bobcut. As a prince, he initially wore a dark and grey robe with golden linings and wore a circular-frame glasses. As a Ranoa Academy Student, he is in a white cream uniform uniform of the school.
Personality[]
Initially Zanoba is serious as a serious man when he held the position of a prince. This changes when he met Rudeus upon learning that he is the creator behind the beautiful figurines that he possesses.
As he grew more and more loyalty in Rudeus, his nature is loudly exegarated while he shows his immense respects towards him. He shows fascination in perverted topics when he shows Rudeus his Roxy figurine.
Upon seeing Rudeus again to his shock at Ranoa Academy, he starts with a loud gasp as he stares him eye wide open before rushing to grab him in the air feeled with joy, joyful to have the chance to see his “master” again. Acting extremely loyal to Rudeus in every possible way, Zanoba doesn’t hesite to inform him about anything about the academy and enjoys to be by his side. Rudeus also noted that he is pervert, which is naturally shown when he demonstrated his high observation about his figurine that Rudeus himself made of Roxy Migurdia.
Like usual, especially when requesting Rudeus about something, he refers him as his master and bows down on the floor to beg for his tutoring about sculpture-sculptings. Bearing immense passions at making scupltures, he is willing to be taught by him even when Rudeus warned him that his tutelage will be strict. He accepts without much of a thought as he gasp. During his attempts at using his magic, he has been shown to be somewhat patience but easily collapsed on the floor during each attempt after trying for the entire day at learning to use magic in order to create a sculpture.
Fascinated, he observes with curiosity as Rudeus carves the clay that he created with his magic. When it was his turn to carve, he is later seen in tears and cries in desperation upon seeing the results of trying to carve something with his clay, before confessing that he is unable to do it like Rudeus does, concluding that he does not possess the talent required.
Outside of his master, Zanoba still acts in a similar way as he introduce himself to Fitts by talking in a loud tone before stopped by Rudeus who orders him to show more respect to the elf. In response, he increased his talking speed as he introduces himself a second time.

- Raw Strength: Zanoba possess raw strength that places him above the level of average humans and is unaware at a young age. This resulted the death of his younger brother, Julius, whom he unintentionally killed in the past. In the present, he showcased his strength by easily grabbing Rudeus and even throw him in the air out of excitement. However, his stamina is not at the same level as his strength. Due to this, his siblings mentioned that he does possess what is required for long travelling. His strength is also the reason why Pax banished him from the kingdom.
