Zara is a character and one of the heroes from the Kantai Collection series who was implemented into the game on the 10th of February, 2016.
She is voiced by Akasaki Chinatsu and drawn by Jiji.
Biography[]
Zara was a heavy cruiser built for the Italian Regia Marina (Royal Navy), the lead ship of the Zara class. Named after the Italian city of Zara (now Zadar, Croatia), the ship was built at the Odero-Terni-Orlando shipyard beginning with her keel laying in July 1928, launching in April 1930, and commissioning in October 1931. Armed with a main battery of eight 8-inch (200 mm) guns, she was nominally within the 10,000-long-ton (10,000 t) limit imposed by the Washington Naval Treaty, though in reality she significantly exceeded this figure.
In her last engagement, Zara and her sister ships Fiume and Pola were sunk in a close-range night engagement with three British battleships.
Appearance[]
She is depicted as having yellow wavy hair and thick eyebrows. She also wears wears a black corset over a white shirt, a red miniskirt with anchors attached, white thighhighs and grey boots.
Trivia[]
- She is perhaps the Fleet Girl counterpart to the Heavy Cruiser Princess, although this is never officially confirmed.
- This is hinted by them having the same voice actor, being heavy cruisers and in the Winter 2016 Event, when defeating the Heavy Cruiser Princess, Zara is the reward for clearing the event.
- Her voice actor, Akasaki Chinatsu, also voices Pola and Aquila.
