Zayto is the main protagonist of Power Rangers Dino Fury and the overarching protagonist of Power Rangers Cosmic Fury.
He is a Rafkonian from the planet Rafkon who led the Ancient Dino Fury Power Rangers 65 million years ago as the Dino Fury Red Ranger chosen by the Morphin Masters themselves. In the present day he leads the modern Dino Fury Rangers to prevent another Sporix War from happening, ultimately forcing him to sacrifice himself to stop the Sporix altogether.
Following his sacrifice, he is resurrected by the Morphin Masters with limited amounts of Magic keeping him alive to once again lead his team to this time stop the resurrected Lord Zedd from conquering the universe, becoming the Cosmic Fury Zenith Ranger & ultimately sacrificing himself again to save his team. However, to his own surprise, Zayto's spirit is resurrected into a Morphin Master himself by the galactic wizard Zordon so he can help his team save the universe, saying his final goodbyes to them before joining the other Morphin Masters to learn how to be one of them, watching his team go on new adventures.

Biography[]
Early Life[]
Zayto was born 65 million years ago on the Planet Rafkon, where he lived a peaceful life with his family & friends, when he grew up he worked to become a member-turned-leader of his planet's organization of Knights alongside his best friend & brother-in-arms Aiyon. Unfortunately, his life would change forever when Rafkon's military council decided to make a machine that's capable of creating a species of indestructible monsters they call Sporix from lava in hopes that they'll defend the planet, but despite Aiyon's objections, Zayto follows through with the plan which ultimately lead to a fight with him, but things got worse from their when he realizes his friend was right that the Sporix proved to be destructive monsters & they began tearing apart the whole planet.
Wanting to fix his mistake, Zayto lead the knights in an all-out war with the Sporix, but the experiment made them completely impossible to destroy & despite their best efforts, the Sporix soon killed everything living on Rafkon with only Zayto, Aiyon & four other knights alive. Unfortunately, the Sporix's lust for destruction was too great & they all soon gained the ability to travel in space & they began roaming the cosmos to destroy whatever they want, prompting Zayto & the survivors to follow them, eventually arriving on Earth during it's prehistoric era just as the Sporix chose to make it their next target.
Fighting alongside the dinosaurs, Zayto & the knights proved to be more than a match for the Sporix, but with every win the Sporix gained even more strength until finally, they achieved the ability of growing giant-sized which made Zayto think they would lose another planet, but just when he thought all hope was lost, ancient beings he heard of called the Morphin Masters' came to help them. With the dinosaur species, they bonded him & his team with both the dinosaurs & the Morphin Grid & they became the world's first incarnation of Power Rangers, with him being bonded to the T-Rex & the red ranger, but when he pointed out about the Sporix's ability to grow, the Morphin Masters gave them powerful zords to give them a fair advantage.
With these newfound powers at their disposal, Zayto & his team began to destroy & capture the Sporix Beasts one-by-one and they contained them inside a special chest to ensure they don't escape. Eventually an army of the remaining Sporix soon surrounded the base they had set up, which forces Zayto to use an unstable ultrazord combination that while is ultimately successful in defeating the Sporix, (almost) the rest of his team perished when the ultrazord self-destructed and only he ejected out in time.
In the aftermath of the battle, Zayto alongside a robot dinosaur named Solon that acted as the team's mechanic tried whatever they could to destroy the Sporix cells, but they ultimately proved to be to strong to be destroyed & they chose to seal them all in their base forever. Eventually, Zayto entered a stasis pod to sleep in until the day came he would be needed again leaving Solon alone in the base which lay under a bunch of dinosaur statues that acted as the his ranger team's link to the Grid & it would be severed in any of the statues were wrecked, as time passed the great wizard Zordon became inspired by Zayto & his team's stories & planned & continuing their legacy of being power rangers that would go on to this day.
Dino Fury[]
Starting a new ranger team[]
65 million years later, with his statue as well as the others now being known as Dinohenge to the town called Pine Ridge, Zayto is finally woken up by Solon when a mysterious warrior clad in a purple dino-themed armor who calls himself Void Knight breaks into the base & takes control of the robot guards. Fortunately, two humans named Amelia and Ollie are also on the scene & fight off the guards, which allows them to bond with the pink & blue dino keys & become power rangers, but Void Knight manages to break the Sporix cage & they all fly away, after properly introducing himself to the teens, Zayto tells them everything about his past & their new mission.
With a new team of rangers, Zayto would lead them in multiple battles against the awakening Sporix while also officially creating a hotline for the people of the town to call them when they see one, sometimes ending with them claiming a Sporix cell while other times with Void Knight getting one for mysterious purposes. Later on, Zayto would get two more new rangers by his side when they prove themselves worthy of being so, which comes in the form of siblings Izzy and Javi Garcia.
On some of their adventures, Zayto & his team would meet another alien mechanic named Mick, who was the inventor to the Ninja Steel rangers, where he learns that the Ninja Nexus Prism had come to aid someone before once again disappearing into deep space. But it was during this time when he & his team briefly fought against a powerful sorcerer named Reaghoul who had resurrected & mind-control the all-powerful emperor of evil Lord Zedd, & while they are successful in beating him, Zedd had been broken free from his mind-control & escapes to finish what he started 3 decades ago & bring the whole universe under his feet.
Reconciling with a old friend[]
Later on, Zayto & the others would encounter a mysterious gold ranger who comes to assist them in defeating the latest Sporix beast before greeting Zayto & teleporting away, realizing who he the Ranger is, he is too shocked to answer any of the team's questions so he teleports back to the base.
The following morning, while training the other Rangers on fighting, Zayto and the others are surprised by the Gold Ranger's appearance on Dinohenge. The Ranger in question would then teleported down into the underground base to greet them, at which point he de-morphed to reveal that he is Zayto's old friend and fellow Rafkonian Aiyon. Zayto would then question how his comrade survived, to which he revealed that he managed to escape the destruction of Ultrazord along with Zayto where his pod had fallen into stasis in the sea for 65 million years and being reawakened by the Green Morphin Master.
When Aiyon revealed his past and true origin of Sporix Beasts, Zayto begins to lose the trust of his teammates due to withholding this vital information. This caused him to act rashly in a battle with Mucus, which in turn had Aiyon call him out for not being such a good leader. Discouraged, Zayto temporarily left the team, with Aiyon taking over leadership. After some encouragement from Solon, Zayto would then appear to assist the team on fighting against Wreckmate and the Hengemen. He would help Aiyon on fighting the robotic general, with both using the Blazing and Electro Battle Armors respectively.
When Wreckmate grew giant, Zayto would join the others in a Megazord fight. However, upon seeing Aiyon clamming up due to the Megazord powering down in the underwater environment, Zayto suggested that they teleport out to safety first. After managing to exit the Megazord, Aiyon would then apologize to Zayto for being a bad leader since his actions nearly led his team into destruction.
Zayto assures his friend that it was for the best and said that he is just glad to have him back as both former knights repaired their friendship. Shortly after, Zayto would join Aiyon on fighting Wreckmate using the Mosa Razor Zord Battle Mode, which allows them to defeat the robot. Following the battle, he would then be reinstated as the leader after Aiyon gave the position back to him, as the latter finally learned about the big responsibility of a leader and forgives Zayto for his past mistakes. Zayto accepted and then engages in a friendly sword duel with Aiyon, ending with them hugging each other in camaraderie as Aiyon joins them in their mission to stop Void Knight.
Mission to Nibyro[]
During one fateful night after having a nightmare about their final battle his their previous team, Zayto meets up with Dr. Lani who helps them uncover a pair of Dino Keys which when combined will allow them to open portals to anywhere in the known universe, with this Zayto & co. then proceed to collect the Zords they control; their previous battle caused them to be flung out of earth's orbit and all the way to another distant planet called Nibyro. However, due to both keys being far away from the Zords, their first portal to Nibyro becomes quite unstable, and not willing to let his teammates walk into another world, Zayto decides to cross over the portal first to ensure it's safe, and it's shown to be just that... right before it soon closes with the others still back on earth.
But to make matters worse for the red ranger, he somehow finds himself in the presence of the members of his old team who didn't survive the battle and they begin attacking him, uttering the same words he remembered/heard them saying while doing so as Zayto reluctantly fights back. Fortunately after sometime, he is soon joined up by Aiyon who, with the help from Lani, managed to recharge to cosmic key to create a stable portal to Nibyro to help him, it was with his help that Zayto manages to learn that their "teammates" are just their nightmares come to life and they manage to beat them by reciting one of the good memories they had, while ultimately conquering their fears while doing so.
Upon their nightmares disappearance Zayto and Aiyon soon come face-to-face with a being who claims the be the planet's guardian who only allows good souls to freely roam his planet, Zayto soon gets word that Void Knight had gotten Reaghoul to resurrect one of their enemies Boomtower and goes back to earth while Aiyon goes to collect the zords they had come for. Upon arriving back to Pine Ridge, Zayto soon fights back against Boomtower who soon decides to go giant once again and with the cosmic Dino zords back in their possession, they successfully bring him down again.
First victory over Void Knight[]
However, right after they celebrate another victory, Zayto and the others soon discover that Void Knight only had Boomtower resurrected so he could go after the machine Dr. Akana had left behind to help them recharge the cosmic key... because he had secretly watched them recharge it via tapping into the Morphin Grid itself. On the bright side though the energy capacitor used to power it got fried during it's first attempt and since Void Knight doesn't know that, Zayto and the others use this as a way to bring Void Knight down and against Ollie's objections, decide to bring his mom into it.
After bringing Ollie's mom to their base and stating their plan to her, Zayto and the others watch closely until Void Knight has his goons capture her and take the still broken capacitor while they ensnare Dr. Akana with cuffs that immediately put her into a deep sleep. Unfortunately as soon as he leaves Reaghoul, angered at Void Knight because he had put him in a cage their first failure went, sends two of his goons and Lani into a swirling green vortex before jumping in himself, prompting Zayto to take his and the cosmic raptor zords into the vortex and save her while the rest deal with Boomtower again.
Flying into the green vortex, Zayto searches for Lani until he finds Reaghoul had enlarged himself which forces Zayto to engage him in battle, after a long fight Zayto manages to finally destroy the sorcerer and bring a still sleeping Lani to safety... while leaving the goons that are still in the vortex trapped. Unfortunately just as he and Lani make it back they learn that Void Knight had captured his teammates sans Ollie and arriving back at Dinohenge with Lani's machine, begins using them to draw energy from the Morphin grid to power up a mysterious device.
Reuniting with Ollie and following Void Knight back to their base where they watch Void Knight's plan unfold, Lani tells them that their teammates can't contain the flowing energy which will soon lead to them getting blown up as a result, thinking quickly Zayto rushes to keep Void Knight distracted while Ollie disable the control panel, but Void Knight ensnares him and plugs him into the machine to. But just as it looks like he and the others would meet their end and Void Knight thought he had won, the Akanas once again distract him by having Lani attack him while Ollie goes for the riskiest move yet by going for destroying the statues which slowly powers down Void Knight's machine as well as freeing Zayto and the others from their unwanted sleep.
Unfortunately, what Ollie didn't take into account was that their statues acted as their physical connection to the Morphin Grid which causes him, Zayto, and their teammates to lose their powers... revealing himself to his mom in the process, regardless, Zayto and the others still go on to battle a furious Void Knight while they have Lani hide in a safe distance. In the heat of battle, Zayto manages to get Izzy and Aiyon to disable Void Knight's machine, which forces the purple warrior to try and stop it from getting worse, but right after Aiyon blasts the capacitor, it causes a massive explosion that gets Void Knight trapped in the process with only his sword found, making Zayto think he's gone for good.
Though after Zayto and co. briefly celebrate their victory over the purple warrior, the human rangers wonder if they're still rangers due to their statues destructions, to which Zayto and Aiyon assure them that they still very much are, something that's greatly emphasized when the green Morphin master appears and rebuilds both their statues and the connection to the Grid. But with her appearance Zayto questions on what happened to Rafkon and his people, but she disappears before they can even be answered, regardless with their powers renewed Zayto continues to lead the team into battles against the remaining Sporix.
Dealing with his enemy's comeback[]
Sometime later after Void Knight's defeat, Zayto and the others continue with their mission of collecting rampaging Sporix with a new objective: finding where Rafkon is now. Unfortunately things get more complicated when Slyther and Mucus, the goons who were left in the vortex but finally managed to get out and fly back to earth.
With a Sporix that can enter cyberspace by their side, they manage to have him sneak into the base and steal their boss's sword and a special key the rangers own so that Void Knight, who managed to survive the explosion along with his device, can repair his busted-up armor, making Zayto realize his battle with him is far from over.
Facing a new villain[]
As he leads his team in more battles with the Sporix and Void Knight, Zayto and the others soon discover that his armored enemy's next move is creating a giant device he calls the "Zord Jammer" that is appropriately capable of stopping any Zord he's ever seen, which works like a charm the moment he unleashes it. Fortunately with some help from Javi, Zayto is able both locate and get back another Zord that was buried during the war, and after getting it fully charged up, he and the team manage to fly it against the jammer thanks to Void Knight not knowing it yet and they destroy the jammer, but little did he or the others know was that during the battle, something worse was beginning to rise.
A little while later, Zayto and the other rangers soon finds himself against another one of Void Knight's "new plans" which involves having a new Sporix named Squashblight turning civilians into petrified-like trees thanks to a special venom he spills into the town's water supply. Fortunately they are able to find a cure for it but when they confront Squashblight & one of Void Knight's generals they are overwhelmed, but to their surprise they witness Void Knight himself weakening Squashblight & revealing his weakness to darkness before disappearing, and after they defeat the Sporix and cure all the infected, Zayto and co. are left surprise on why did their enemy help them.
The following day after the unexpected help from Void Knight, the rangers meet up at buzzblast where they quietly discuss on why Void Knight helped them, which Zayto shows his distrust in him due to all his previous actions before that point and sees this as another attempt at stealing the Sporix they've already got.
Cosmic Fury[]
After his death following the battle with the Nemesis Beast, Zayto was revived as Zenith by the Morphin Masters and given the temporary powers of the Dino Fury Zenith Ranger. After his Dinohenge statue is destroyed, he gains the powers of the Cosmic Fury Zenith Ranger when he returns to the Cosmic Fury Rangers until he evolved into a Morphin Master to finally defeat Lord Zedd. With his mortal life over, Zayto left Earth to join his fellow Morphin Masters in the Morphin Grid
Personality[]
Zayto is shown to be very blunt and serious, which comes off as distant and mean, despite his heart of gold. According to Solon, he can also be a bit of a showoff when using his telepathic abilities on Amelia and Ollie for the first time (his "showoff" nature also comes when it's revealed that the Megazord overriding password was "Zayto is cool"), although he clearly assures that he is testing out his telepathic powers to ensure they are functioning well, and he's quickly shown to be a very humble individual despite his years of experience.
When faced with tough situations, Zayto embraces his mother's advice and never gives up even when all things seem hopeless. When hit by Tombtress's Mood Blast, he becomes lazy and regards everything as boring. However, the effect would later wear off. Zayto is also ignorant of certain English language terms, saying "Burb," instead of BRB. He even has trouble understanding Wreckmate's use of pirate jargon.
After waking up from his stasis, Zayto developed a lot of grief due to not knowing if anybody is still alive in his planet after being gone for millions of years. His great desire to find out if his planet was still there and the Rafkonians still existed, sometimes came to a fault as shown when he trusted Arla with the Sporix as he believed she was a Rafkonian, when she was actually an imposter in disguise. This lead to him being way more distrusting of outsiders like Mick Kanic, doubting his mission with the Ninja Nexus Prism, or Void Knight when he claimed that he wanted to help the Rangers, which lead to Zayto lashing out at him. The grief he felt about his homeworld would lessen a bit after he reunited with Aiyon.
Zayto was devastated after witnessing Rafkon's destruction, but still held strong when reminded that he still needed to protect Earth, something he did even if it meant challenging the surviving Rafkonians who tried to take over Earth. During the final battle between the Rangers and Void Queen, Zayto was willing to use the ultimate attack of the Dino Master Saber, sacrificing himself to take down the Nemesis Beast.
