Zee is the tritagonist of The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild. She's an adventurous female Zorilla that is one of the protectors of the Dinosaur World and Buck's former teammate.
She is voiced by Justina Machado.
History[]
Early Life[]
Zee was born from two unknown zorillas. Not much is known about her childhood but it's been told that at some point after Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs and before Ice Age: Continental Drift and Ice Age: Collision Course she finished in the Dinosaur World. There she met and developed a crush for Buck and became friends. Together, they decided to form a group of animals to defend the Dinosaur World from threats like Rudy or the Dakotaraptor family and allowed the Lost World to become a place for all the creatures in the world making more mammals live in the place. However, a dwarf talking Triceratops named Orson wasn't happy about that as he hated mammals believing them to be inferior but Buck still offered him to become a member of his team due to feeling pity for his tragic childhood and for noticing his intelligence.
Orson refused and caused chaos in the Lost World, believing that mammals should not live in the Lost World and that the strongest should rule on the puny thus revealing his plan to rule the Lost World and prepared a trap for Buck that killed the whole team, except Zee and Buck.
Zee and Buck would exile Orson in the Lava Falls hoping that him being alone would make him feel some kind of remorse (it only made him more evil and sociopathic) and they split up after an argument. Due to this, they operated as adventurers on their own for years and they never saw each other again.
The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild[]
Zee is seen making a couple of appearances before actually appearing in the story as she spies Orson, that came back from the Lava Falls thanks to his Raptors minions that he domesticated thanks to the fire as they're fascinated by it, to discover his plan to rule the Lost World.
She finally makes her debut by saving Buck and the possums, Crash and Eddie, from the raptors in Buck's hideout by using a gas to knock out the dinosaurs. Orson then gets an army of raptors and attacks the watering hole, with Buck and Zee telling the animals to evacuate. Buck and Zee, their relationship strained after their team's breakup, go with the possums to get help. They arrive at the Lost Lagoon and summon their old friend Momma, a Tyrannosaurus. When Orson and his raptors arrive and attack them again, Buck and Zee forgive each other for breaking up the old team and agree to work together. Acting as a diversion, Buck is captured by Orson, allowing the others to escape.
Trying to figure out how Orson controls the raptors, Zee and the possums devise a plan to get Buck back. Ellie, Manny, Sid and Diego find out that Crash and Eddie entered the Lost World and uncover the entrance. They run into Momma, who gives them a ride to the watering hole, where Orson has taken Buck to feed his raptors, planning to use him as an example for anyone who refuses to follow his rules. Zee and the possums free Buck and fight Orson and his army, with Manny, Sid, Diego, Ellie and Momma joining in the battle. Buck tries to explain to Orson that everyone needs to live in peace, but Orson arrogantly rebuffs him and continues to fight. After figuring out that Orson controls the raptors with fire, Crash and Eddie create a fire of their own and stop the raptors from fighting and make the two raptors chase Orson instead, saving the Lost World.
Personality[]
Gruff and sarcastic yet wisecracking, Zee is very determined to make the Lost World a better place and to open the place to the surface animals, which causes Orson's hatred towards her and Buck. However she is also more lucid and careful, and she serves as the voice of reason to Buck’s eccentricity.
