Zethia is one of the two tritagonists (alongside Notte) of the defunct mobile game Dragalia Lost. The twin sister of the main protagonist Euden, she is kidnapped by the wicked Morsayati as a part of his nefarious plans, spurring Euden to embark on a journey to save her. While taking the typical "damsel in distress" role for most of the story, Zethia becomes a more independent and headstrong character later into the story and becomes one of the pivotal protagonists for the story's final arc.
She is voiced by Ai Kayano in the Japanese version, and by Shannon Chan-Kent in the English version.
Appearance[]
Zethia has long blonde hair and blue eyes and she is shown wearing a long blue dress with white and pink details. She wears a tiara and white ribbons on her hair. She walks around barefoot and her right ankle has a blue anklet and her left ankle has a golden anklet. Her wrists has golden bracelets. She has a white scarf with two large stars and she carries a golden staff with a blue gem.
Her gala form has platinum blonde hair with one eye covered by her bang and light green eyes and wears a shorter dark outfit with blue armor and gloves and a black headdress on two sides. She now wields a dark purple katana with black details. Her legs have black markings looking like scales.
Her Bondforged form looks similar to her regular form but with a white dress with blue and gold details. Instead of wearing the tiara on her head, it’s becomes a circlet with three blue gems and white headdress on the back of her head with white wings and white stars on the ends of the headdress.
Powers and Skills[]
- High intelligence: Acting as Auspex of the Southern Ilian Church, Zethia is highly knowledgable on magic and its inner workings, as well as her capabilities, allowing her to come up with effective schemes to stop her foes, such as purposefully following Morsayati along to target him when he's at his most vulnerable. She also has effective deduction skills, as she forms a connection between Morsayati and Mordecai upon meeting the latter.
- Holy Magic: Being the Auspex of the Southern Ilian Church, Zethia has access to potent holy magic which can allow her to perform all sorts of spells such as healing wounds or even summoning huge swords of mana that can smite even the eldritch horror Morsayati.
- Photokinesis: Zethia is a skilled user of light magic owing to her holy powers, able to summon it to damage opponents whether it be in the form of beams or huge waves.
- Wand Mastery: Zethia is a capable user of the wand as not only is she able to effectively channel magic through it, she can also use it in melee attacks to fend off enemies.
- Swordsmanship: In her Gala variant Zethia wields a large katana, which is all that remains of the Genesiswyrm Bahamut. She can channel shadow magic through it and use it proficiently to dispatch enemies with ease. She can also unleash fast-paced combos to deal high amounts of damage.
- Bahamut's Pact: After stealing half of Nedrick's pact with Bahamut, Zethia is blessed with the unimaginable strength of the Genesiswyrm which grants her abilities far above her usual powers.
- Umbrakinesis: Using Bahamut's power Zethia can use shadow magic, unleashing powerful waves and blasts of it to damage opponents. She is also capable of using Bahamut's erasure magic, especially when she summons a copy of the Genesiswyrm to aid her in battle.
- Mana Construct Summoning: Due to not having the physical stamina to undergo the process of shapeshifting, Zethia can instead summon a mana projection of Bahamut which acts of its own will, using similar abilities to the original Bahamut as well as possessing near equal strength.
- Sixth Sense: When Zethia uses Bahamut's pact, she unlocks a sixth sense which allows her to telepathically sense the world around her and react much faster than if she were using her sight. However, as a drawback she's temporarily rendered blind when this sense is active.
- Enhanced Combat Prowess and Strength: Thanks to a combination of Bahamut's power and her sixth sense, Zethia becomes a much more formidable opponent when using the pact, being capable of pulling off elaborate strikes and moves that should be humanly impossible. She also moves extremely fast and is incredibly nimble.
- Primal Mark: Thanks to her Auspex training, Zethia has awakened the full power of her Primal Mark which grants her the power of creation.
- Creation Magic: Using her Primal Mark, Zethia can alter reality as she sees fit, creating miniature world boundaries which she can freely manipulate. When she and the other Auspexes focused their powers into Euden as a vessel, he was able to use their powers of creation to defeat even Xenos.
- Bond Empowerment: Unlocked as a result of her Primal Marks, bonds and pact, Zethia can empower others using her bonds, sharing Primal Marks and bestowing power onto others.
Biography[]
The twin sister of Euden, and one of the few maidens of the Church. Quick to cry as a child, she became more stoic after the passing of her mother. She's now a strong-willed young woman who cherishes her older brother.
