Zeus is a major character in the Warriors Orochi video game series, a crossover of both the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors series. He is a mythological thunder god who governs over the other deities of Mount Olympus. Known for his romantic escapades, he fathered many heroic figures in Greek myth. He made debut in Warriors Orochi 4 as one of the supporting protagonists.
He was voiced by Takashi Matsuyama, who also voiced Oro from the Street Fighter franchise.
History[]
Zeus remembered that humans dealt with Orochi a long time ago in order to create a great world.
Zeus was interested in Orochi's parallel world and led the hero back to fulfill his ambitions. Through his mirror in Mount Olympus, Zeus saw how Orochi created a parallel world and captured heroes from the Three Kingdoms and Warring States eras and how heroes defeated the history of Orochi, Hydra and the god of destruction. Curious, he decided to recreate the world for his own goals and created the Ouroboros bracelet from his power and the power of Orochi's sickle, which he borrowed from the Mystic Realm. When he created the world, he pulled the hero back into the parallel world and dropped a few bracelets. Perseus, a half-mortal son of Zeus stole the bracelets that extended the Zeus's plans. Since the bracelet was not activated, a powerful creature like him could not enter without risking the destruction of the world, so he ordered his 2 children, Athena and Ares to go to the world to prepared for his arrival without telling him what his plan was.
As the world stabilized, more powerful creatures came from the Mystic Realm and Olympus, including Zeus, who comes and immediately fought against the Human Alliance, and they noticed that Perseus was not actually Perseus. It is Loki, an Asgardian god. In a fierce battle, humans barely beats Zeus, who was attracted by human power. In order to satisfy his children, he continues to order them to contact humans without telling why, which will stimulate Ares. When humans once again defeated and defeated Zeus, he commented on humanity powers and apparently saw that humans were fighting with his children to fight, and the angry Ares and Ares stole Zeus's power, and Loki reached an agreement with a person who sent him, Odin, King of Asgard. Instead, Zeus wanted to use his power as a bait to lures Odin and defeat him with humans and mystics; Before the world, Zeus had seen how Odin survived his death, and how his desire for destruction and power created a disturbing ambition to conquer all the world and began to assemble his troops for war. This is related to Zeus, because it will mean a full-scale war between Asgard and the gods of Olympus, and will engulf the human world and the Mystic Realm. To prevent this, he saw the struggle of humans with Orochi and decided to trapping Odin into a parallel world and defeated Odin in humans.
Actually, Zeus also believes that Orochi will be resurrected by Odin and plans to let mystics enter the parallel world to help humanity. Although he did not explain Ares's betrayal and Odin stealing his power and using the god of destruction, he saw that they still helped humans after the battle and decided to help them directly after humans returned the weapons. Then, he and Athena, Ares and all the humans were joining fights into the final battle of Odin. He helped humans defeat the god of destruction and Orochi and was surprised by the struggle between the two. In the final battle, he then personally cleared the weapon to Odin, Yggdrasil. With Odin's failure, Zeus regained his power and destroyed Yggdrasil, which destroyed the stability of the parallel world; then Zeus apologized for his actions, regained the bracelet, and with the help of mystics, Humans send back their respective time periods.
Following Odin's demise, Zeus and his family returning to Olympus as all the warriors returning to their worlds with having a normally life. Did accepted the adventures, Loki was reborn as he following Yukimura to Wuzhang Plains and deal with Odin's phantom. When Zhao Yun, Lu Bu, and Noatora Ii going to struggle with their foes which they thought about the god's real intention, Loki decided to surrender and help the alliance to stop Odin in any possible. Gaia, a goddess who appeared before the warriors but though their arriving in the battles, she help them to find Odin's soul as the Asgardian God would always be resurrection forever after his falling. Accompanied to his mother to Changshan, Zeus defeating Odin's ghosts and terror together with the deified warriors in which Hades is time to showing up to help his brother, so get tricking into allowed Odin's originally flee from the Underworld. Trace Odin's soul back to the Spring of Ymir near the source of Yggdrasil, Hades later to worked with Zeus to breaking the spring's entrance at Chencang-Ueda Castle.
With the help of Zeus and the gods, Zhao Yun, Yukimura, and the warriors are eventually to stand up to Odin, which they using their powers to defeat and slaying him. Upon Odin died and the trees are topple, Zeus and the deities commanding to send the humans back to their worlds with safety. Prior the final wars, the real Perseus is resurrected which revealed that Hades is a traitor who retook Odin's souls and seizing Yggdrasil for himself to conquered the universe. Zeus intending to help the warriors saving Odin from death after they strikes in the Spring. Upon the mission, Zeus cannot against Hades's latest power and lead the warriors to fleeing through Chencang-Ueda from Hades's magic. Zeus know that his brother's very cruelty of his own behavior. They no longer to having the powers attacked Hades, Kaguya and Gaia were working to merged their powers, reversion of the latter's time-traveling abilities at Changshan. Despite Hades tried to sabotaged their efforts, the two succeeded returned to the Spring of Mimir.
Odin, Gaia, and Zeus.
Upon saving Odin and help him to against Hades, Zeus orders the warriors gained the sacred treasure, Bident, and divided Odin's soul from Yggdrasil. He will be among the heroes to sending to the Underworld in order to gets the treasures upon Hades's gone. Realized his brother empowering the Yggdrasil with his dark power in Odawara-Wan Castle, Zeus arrived in the Spring of Mimir and to confronting his brother. During the last battle, Zeus attacked his brother upon victory, which scolded him for ruining all as well as keep the wicked. Despite his defeated, Hades constantly hold his evil power to offended his brother with had much being crazy. Gaia facing her younger son that she able to told that his brother at least admirable of offers. After Hades's losses, Zeus, Gaia, and the other deities managing to sending the humans back to their worlds and Odin is already fine and leaving with Yggdrasil for good.
