Personality[]
Zoa is very responsible, mature and righteous. She's also very hard-headed and firms when it comes to her sister Gabi, who is too naive to understand that things aren't always as she wants them to be, especially with their drug addict mother. But still, she cares a lot about Gabi and only wants the best for her.
Zoa is also shown to be very friendly, caring, considerate and selfless, putting friendship above everything else. She was very stubborn and insistent on bringing Judith to Eden, even if the contract forbidded her from bringing friends over. When she went missing the night of the Eden party, she voiced her concerns and hoped she would be fine.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Zoa lived in Barcelona with her younger sister Gabi. She had a bad childhood as her parents divorced when she was 12 and Gabi 9, mainly because their mother is a heroin addict. While their father opposes this, however, his constant business trips caused him to be actively absent from his daughters' lives and rarely spent time with them. Because of their predicament, Zoa and Gabi had to look out for each other and fend for themselves.
Zoa always lent money to her mother and was in and out of rehab. Everytime she was discharged, Gabi got excited and was willing to welcome her back, but Zoa told her not to live up to expectations, but Gabi still contacted her despite her sister's objections, knowing her mother would never make good on her promise to stay sober. In addition, Zoa had a habit of running away from home because of the situation with her family. At some point, she stayed over at her best friend Judith's for a month.
Season 1[]
Zoa runs away from the home of her dysfunctional family, consisting of her addicted-heroin mother, her workaholic aloof father and her naive little sister Gabi, after receiving a tempting invitation to attend a party at the Eden island. She brings Judith along, even though the contract forbides the guests from bringing friends over. Zoa and Judith arrive at a deserted spot during nightfall, where they meet Aldo, who is also as curious about where the party is. A drone then shows up and they follow it, leading them to a room with a lot of people inside, and they get on the bus that takes them to Eden. As they are all being scanned, however, Judith is not allowed to pass because of the invitation's one rule. Judith is fine with it and tries to leave, but Zoa objects, threatening to leave if Judith. After some pondering, the Eden staff allow her to come anyway.
Zoa and Judith are brought to a beach where the party is taking place and are each given blue bracelets, before both proceed to enjoy themselves. As night falls, Zoa and Judith are busy hanging out with two guys, David (a guest) and Orson, (a staff member) respectively. After Zoa, along with Aldo, Africa, Ibón and Charly (whose bracelets are lightened up) takes a sip of the Blue Eden drink, she becomes delirious and starts walking aimlessly. In this state, Zoa climbs up a rock and almost falls, until another staff member named Nico arrives in time to save her. As Judith tries to look for Zoa, she becomes horrified when she witnesses Ulises, the island's head of security, torturing a rebellious staff member for disobedience and Alma watching this emotionlessly.
The next morning, Zoa awakens to find that everyone (including David) have already left Eden and calls out for Judith, but she is mysteriously nowhere to be seen. She only finds Aldo, Africa, Ibón and Charly, who also passed out because of the drink they took. The drone once again appears and it instructs them to follow it, and they meet Astrid, the leader of the island, who greets them and says "Welcome to Eden".
Once they are given a tour on the island, Zoa is assigned to Module 8. There, she meets her roommates, Claudia and Nico, whom she recognizes as the person who saved her from falling off the rock.
Season 2[]
