Zog is a supporting character in the 2003 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV show. He is a Triceraton and a soldier in the Triceraton Republican Army.
He was voiced by David Zen Mansley.
History[]
Zog was one of the Trijet Soldiers sent by the Triceraton Republic to Earth to capture Professor Honeycutt. They also attack the Turtles and the Fugitoid on an asteroid, when suddenly they are transported. Up ahead, the Turtles and the Fugitoid materialized in the TCRI building along with Federation soldiers and Triceraton warriors. Thanks to Mr. Mortu, the Federation Trijets manage to return to their homeland, but one of them, Zog, escapes into the sewers.
Zog encounters the Turtles while they are walking through the sewers, in which Zog attacks a boat thinking that he is a robot sent by the Federation. Luckily for him, the Turtles, after realizing that his helmet is broken and the oxygen of the earth is driving him crazy, repair it for him and Zog becomes sane again. Soon after, however, they are attacked by one of Shredder's androids disguised as Splinter. At Leonardo's command, Zog engages the android and tears it in half, shouting "FOR THE REPUBLIC!". After defeating it, the Turtles, Splinter and Zog, go to see where the drone came from.
Personality[]
Zog has a very strong and loyal personality, honorable and courageous for the Triceraton Republic. The air of the earth has put him in great difficulty distinguishing between reality and hallucination, but he is also dignified given that he helped the Turtles and Splinter. Zog viewed the Turtles and Splinter as superior to him, treating them with the same respect he would give a superior Triceraton and following their orders without question or hesitation. He even gave his life to save them.
