Zombieman is a one of the many heroes in the world of One Punch Man, but he is also one of the most powerful of all, being S-Class Rank 8. Unlike many of his fellow Class S heroes, Zombieman does not possess any superhuman levels of physical might. While he is stronger than the most impressive human athlete, he cannot desolate entire buildings nor defeat dangerous foes with a single hit. Zombieman's true power comes from being virtually unkillable; able to recover from even the most extreme injuries with outrageous regeneration, as well as having true superhuman levels of endurance. He is also a world class detective, exceptionally skilled at solving mysteries and gaining useful information. He is one of the few people in the world aware of just how strong Saitama is.
He is voiced by Takahiro Sakurai in Japanese and by Vernon Dew in English.
Personality[]
Zombieman is a calm and somewhat socially distanced man. He can at times have a bleak outlook but this could stem from the years he languished under the experiments performed on him at the House of Evolution. He prefers to work alone and sometimes is upset that whenever a meeting is held for the Class S heroes that they do not seem to get along with one another. He is courteous to others and respectful, and is exceptionally bright and cunning. Despite his at times nihilistic attitude, Zombieman is also very protective and can easily get distraught at the loss of innocent life. He protects the weak and innocent, and while his methods can sometimes seem severe, he is a man of benevolence. He is one of the S Class heroes who is the most amicable to the others despite his preference for going solo.
Powers and Abilities[]
While Zombieman is stronger than even the strongest normal human, quicker and more agile, he does not have any degree of true superhuman physical strength. However, he has unparalleled regenerative capabilities that surpass virtually every other hero in the world save for Saitama. This, coupled with his extreme superhuman durability and stamina has given him a very well earned reputation for being unkillable. He has been completely blown to gory pieces, mutilated, suffered extreme head wounds including to his brain, chopped to pieces, almost burned to rubble, and been ragdolled relentlessly by exceptionally powerful monsters, only to regenerate and recover in mere moments. He once received over 200 fatal wounds in 30 minutes and survived unharmed in the end. Regeneration aside, he can also take an ungodly amount of punishment, being on the receiving end of attacks that could obliterate most people and remain intact. He also possesses true superhuman stamina, able to physically exert himself at peak performance for well over 100 hours. He uses these powers in his fighting style; wearing down his opponent slowly but surely. Because nothing they do can keep him down for good or even for long, Zombieman has fought and defeated drastically more powerful foes by simply piling on the damage over extended periods of time, healing himself while they keep taking more injury. In his fight against a giant monster that lasted 140 hours, Zombieman prevailed by simply regenerating all damage dealt to him while chipping away at their health until he was victorious.
Natural abilities aside, he is also a masterful combatant, very proficient in hand to combat as well as with various weapons. His usual loadout is powerful handcannons, an axe, and a machete, all of which he uses to deadly effect, also being a master marksman. Zombieman is also a master detective, excelling at solving tough mysteries and getting to the bottom of ploys.
While being virtually immortal, Zombieman's regeneration has one, but only one, weakness. If his body is destroyed to the point of there being nothing left, he will die.
